Gray had 34 pitch count when the first inning was over, and I never felt comfortable with him he labored all nigh putting people on bases and we all knew sooner or later he would implode and he did. That 3 run homer by Soto finished him. He survived a couple of inings because of the Nats bad running the bases, but he seemed to be in trouble the rest of the night. So, for the second night in a row the pen had to come in and other than Sevy every pitcher seems to need pen help before the 6th. Not a good thing if this Team is to continue to roll all the way to October everyone must do their job and the starting pitching at least has to pitch 6 complete innings

Last night it was a disastrous night. Cashman has to shore up the Starting pitching and the pen since it has been used too many times.

Tomorrow a new kid will take the mound VS the Rays and we all know he will be in a pitch count that means Bull Pen will be used. I guess tonight is German and it is a good night to bury the Rays.

It was a disastrous game. This Team could not hold the lead or score one run to tie or 2 to win. Y

Gray battled through his 5 innings. He didn't do bad considering...   It could have been worse.

OK, now we're cookin!! Bird hit a homer and got a hit another hit!  He is now hitting a robust .200! He is on the right track. Let's get his  plaque ready, and get Greg Bird day ready for the stadium ceremony to retire his Jersey number! Also let the HOF know he is on his way and has his speech ready.  There, that tidbit of sarcasm is for all you sarcastic posters with your wise a-- comments when anyone dares to doubt Bird's contributions past, present and future. How's it feel?

He hit a homer in a loss, Hooray!  Really sick of all of you who post sarcastic remarks every time ANYONE dares to talk about a struggling player. The board know it all's who just can't stand any talk at all they can't agree with.  There, have a ball with that. Bird looked good yesterday, bad for 3 weeks and all of a sudden the Bird detractors  are accused of "never played baseball," and we don't know what we are talking about.  Nice friendly outlook towards your fellow Yankee fans. Buncha clueless prima donna's with your lame sarcasm and snide remarks. Making assumptions about someone they know nothing about to feel good about their vast knowledge of the game. Insecure little toddlers who cry when their hungry make more sense than some of you. And God forbid anyone challenges any of you. You gang up and spit out all sorts of vile accusations about their knowledge. Pitiful, really.

I must say you make incendiary posts constantly ... always looking for a fight ... and when you fight back you make up lies ... like when you told everyone on this board that you were here for years before any of us ... and that you were here a long time ... which recently came to light that you were here in 2002 ... one year that the board was open ... and then you left in 2003 for another board ... this came out of your own mouth ... both statements ... that you were here a long time on this board and that you were here in 2002 and left for another board in 2003.  I have to say once a person is found in one lie, one must wonder how many other lies they have told.  But the main problem is that you are constantly looking for a fight ... the posts you make are presented in a way that an argument can come about quickly ... and you seem to like it ... and then you make more posts telling people off and saying how much baseball knowledge you have compared to everyone else.  Must say I've been on this board for 15  years and read many postings by so many knowledgeable baseball fans ... your posts don't come anywhere close to some of the best posters on this board.

You also spin things a lot ... I'm waiting to hear the spin you are going to put about how long you've been on the board and the statements YOU made about it ... should be a good one.

Not my problem if a few of you overly sensitive people have a problem with the way I post. Don't read it. As for "spinning" anything for you Mo, this isn't a court room, and if it was you sure as blazes are not qualified to be a prosecutor and I'm not a Lawyer. I explained why and I even called on Charles to look up my past screen name and no answer.  If that doesn't satisfy you to bad. I don't owe you another one.  I even called on my friend who was on that board with me and he told me what happened because I didn't remember.  It was 2002! I thought that whole time I was on YES. You remember every detail about what you did in 2002, 16 years ago? Good for you. I don't remember what I had for lunch yesterday or off the top of my head where I lived that year, or what car I drove, so your ridiculous thinking I intentionally mislead anyone about it. I don't care if anyone thinks I "make things up" I know I don't and that is what matters.  You trying to make be feel bad about me making a mistake or not remembering is the last thing am worried about.  You want a spin go ride a Merry go round, it goes around and around and around. I'm done with this conversation.

Bumper and Dixieyank listen up. Your both perfect examples of what I just said their that you quoted.  If you two pompus **** think your smarter than me about the Yankees or baseball you'd be wrong.  Your time on a message board entitles you to nothing more than freedom of your keyboard to make jerks out of yourselves.  Your lack of respect for any other opinions on the Yankees and your attitudes are less than intelligent and I have no doubt your upbringing has made you both entitled spoiled brats with no regard for others. You can't help who you are but my suggestion is not to challenge someone who's more experienced in life and baseball than you are. You look ridiculous. See, if you don't type on subjects or people, you know nothing about, people won't know how dumb you sound.

You're really turning back into that person that showed up BEFORE the apology thread.

No I'm not.  So you want me to let others ridicule me and call me names and act like I am insignificant because I just got here?  Stop it. You know betterthan that.  I was on this board since it started, ask Charles you moderator how long I was here, longer than anyone on here now including Johna Falcon and he has been here forever! I used a new screen name because I don't have my same email address and I was in the hospital and rehabbing for over a year.

No one gets smack talk from me unless they come at me, then it is on. Period. No one has to agree with me.  Not at all. How many things have I said that have been repeated on here?  I'll tell you plenty.  But if it is not my idea or opinion it is genius. I have had enough of it. I'm not going anywhere, so bash me all you want.  Some on here debate with me or talk to me without trying to be Don Rickles and get laughs from their lacky friends at my expense.

That's who I post and write for. I have no problem with you at all and if you think I'm being to harsh, sorry, but that's just me I guess. No harm meant, and I only insult someone when they start using attitude and name calling. No more apologies from me. I take no smack talk from anyone and I don't give it unless provoked.  SIMPLE LOGIC! To many people here are crybabies about my posts.  Good Lord, grow the hell up some of you. Not you, I know you're a grown a-- woman:)  However there are some grown people on here that need to relax, this team does not belong to anyone, and they are not all your personal friends.  Good God you would think I was talking about their Mamma's.

OK so a lot of you know my feelings for sending down Torreyes for Bird. No rehash here.  I promised to get off Bird and give him room to show the Yankees why they love him. Now he has to show me why I should.

So I will use this thread to monitor every game and what he does until he either craps the bed, gets hurt, or becomes the next Don Mattingly or better. I will include defensive gems, or errors, and every single AB, and base running ****fs, (in 48 games he has more than his share) because I believe the Yankees made a mistake with him, and I will put myself out there about it right here on this thread. I will either look foolish, or I should be a scout and gloat over some "I told you so's". LOL. We shall see. If nothing else I am going to have fun with it.

As long as the Yankees win, I really don't care what Bird does, that's the main thing...but if he is kept in the line up and is hurting us, I will really go off. I remember the Yankee/Cashman love affair with Chris Carter and Nick Johnson, not to mention Bye Bye Balboni, so let's see how long they stick with Greg Bird if he winds up being like those guys. Show me Greg.

Fair enough ... I'm a Bird fan and agree he has to demonstrate. His defense is fine (great I think), but his offense must improve, so let's see. He hasn't had extended playing time over the last 3 years due to injuries and does need some time to settle in. Hope he'll be a big part of the Yanks success this year.
