The Red Sox have Betts, Benintendi and Pedroia. I wish the Yankees had more contact hitters. This team is starting to resemble the teams with ARod, Sheffield and Giambi.

Pedroia knees are shot....isnt he back on the dl.

I'm more of a Yankee Fan than you. What kind of a fan are you that doesn't see the flaws of the team? Don't you think that Cashman is seeing the same thing? Don't you want the team to get better? You sound like one of these modern fans that only care about home run distance, exit velocity and the other sabermetric crap. Real baseball fans know how the game is really played.

I've been following baseball and the Yankees since 1955 kid, so don't give me this crap about real baseball fans know how the game is really played. You're one of those whiny, what have you done for me lately people that are never satisfied. You're the one that thinks they should win every game and have an All Star at every position who never strikes out or goes into a slump. Don't try hiding behind the lie that you're a long time fan because there are so many holes in your threads that expose you as a young punk its ridiculous. Stick to your fantasy baseball you'll win every time.

luv, don't feed the trolls. This loser will soon be back to his regular home...the rat infested walls of the Green Monster.

Thank you just said the same thing I said. Judge, Stanton and Sanchez strikeout mostly against top right-handed pitching. That being said the Yankees don't have hitters that put tough at-bats against good pitching. Other than Glyeber Torres, mostly everyone else strikes out too often. The Astros have Altuve, Correa, Guriel and Bregman. It's not about just not striking out but being able to hit in situations with runners on base. It seems to me that most of the Yankees swing all the time for home runs. Last night was a perfect example. The had runners on third several times but couldn't make contact when it was needed.

they had a bad night last night. and yes the strikeouts are a problem at times. but after 29-9 over the last 38 including of 5 of 6 against these same astros, i'll take my chances. virtual dead heat for the best record in baseball. excepting last night they usually do put on tough at-bats. how do you think they get in everyone's bullpen. one game and suddenly this team sux in your world. troll or clueless ...

So you don't believe in "Constructive Criticism"? I've never said they shouldn't lose any games. I said that the team's weaknesses will be exposed in the playoffs, especially by a team with dominant right-handed pitching like the Astros. Have you ever coached a Little League Team or a Softball Team? You've never pointed out things to players to try to improve them? That's what I'm doing idiot! I never said they shouldn't lose. You seem to be blinded by the team's awesome offense. The same offense that has trouble hitting some journeyman pitchers. Tell us genius your suggestions to help improve the team.

Constructive criticism you call it? I call it uninformed whining. My suggestion to help improve the team with the best record in baseball...hmmm. Let's trade for all the Astro's pitchers that you're so in love with and DFA Stanton, Judge and Sanchez. That sounds like a dumb idea you would like.  So, you're comparing coaching a little league or softball team of kids and teaching them to major league ballplayers and coaches. Wow you are hopeless cruddie. I'm done discussing anything with you because you have no sense or credebility and are always gloom and doom.

First, as of today, they have the second-best record. I'm not whining. Unlike you, who thinks the team's perfect as it is, I'm not afraid to criticize my team. Only dreamland fans like you think their team's the best no matter how the team's playing. Besides the strikeout problem, the bullpen's not reliable. Robertson and Betances are a walking time bomb. Kanley's not pitching well. Green's not the same and Boone doesn't use him as often as Girardi did. The only reliable reliever is Chapman. The only starter you can count on is Severino. The defense is very poor. Nobody on the offense is having a career year so far. Michael Kay said the same thing. Yes, they've been winning. That shows they've played well as a team and have comeback ability. To be honest, they've been playing better than their statistics indicate. Look at the batting statistics. Other than hitting home runs, the numbers are very poor. Hopefully, the team will continue winning despite the team's flaws.

FYI, I guess you don't watch the MLB Network. Every day they give constructive criticism to players who are not doing well. These are ex-major leaguers making comments. Last year, Cliff Floyd said that Judge should move closer to the plate. You see it's not just me saying it. As a matter of fact, Paul O'Neill said that Sanchez is pulling the ball too much and should go to right field.  I guess you don't believe in their comments either. God forbid that anyone says anything bad about the Yankees! I don't know what kind of friends you have because all of my Yankee friends are not afraid to say bad things about the Yankees. Don't tell me that you didn't say anything last year when Girardi made the mistake in the playoff game against Cleveland.

Take your constructive criticism and jump in a lake.

So in your opinion the Yankees need to swing first pitch, stop hitting home runs, stop guessing on pitches, stop working the count,  stop taking walks, choke up on the bat and just make contact and put the ball in play.

That answers my question. Not many people on this forum know anything about Real Baseball but are in love with the Home Runs. I hope the Yankees continue hitting home runs in October too.
