I like Frazier, but he can't play 1B, so I would be willing to trade him for a proven first baseman (lefty), who can not only field well, but can hit 15+ HRs a yr (which can translate to 25-30+ HRs in pinstripes), while batting at least .280.

In order to get Bumgarner, if he's available, it's going to take a lot, they are willing to trade him but read the fine print, they want a big haul in order to do that... I don't know anything about Belt or who ever he is, where does he play ???

To get Mad Bum and Belt both? Personally that might force my hand to trade Andujar, Sheffield, Bird, and Frazier.

It might cost that much for just Bumgarner, depending if other teams join in and bid the price up.

Belt's 3 year extension at $17.3 per kicks in next year. He is having a good season, but I think he is overprieced at that rate. It might cost more for just Bumgarner than for the two of them.

You might be right Pat. I would rather they go in this direction then waste prospects on a Machado deal if that was serious which I doubt.

Belt is their first baseman.   He's a lefty who's usually good for about 4 WAR seasons, mostly due to his bat.   He's never hit more than 18 home runs, but he usually hits just about that number and the ones he hits aren't cheapies, he has pretty good power.   So far this year has been his best, he's on a pace for closer to 30 homers and is slashing .303/.396/.509 - and he's already at 3 WAR.   He draws a very nice number of walks and is usually good for at least a .270-.280 batting average.   He's not a star but he's very solid and he has a ton of post season experience like Mad Bum.

The two sound like something we could use.. It would depend on what they want in return ?? I'm one of many here that would hate to lose Andujar/Torres/Sheffield, but for those kind of players I don't have any problems with any of our other prospects...

I know Bumgarner is still fairly young, how old is this Belt ??

You just  described  Greg Bird. Those are the type numbers, plus, he was supposed  to  put up.

That's  my point, some people  want  to get what they supposedly have. But, still waiting for Bird to become that. The clock is ticking, how much  time does  he have ?

I don't know ... most of us fans are giving up on him ... don't know if the Yankees are or are not.

.271 career BA, and .827 OPS and about 20 HRs/162 games.  A .271 LH hitter who could reasonably be expected to hit 25+ HRs/yr playing half his games in YS?

Heck yes!
