I agree. I also believe many on the team are worrying if their job will still be theirs on August 1, 2018.

In 1998, the Yanks were swept by the Rays late in the season, and Joe Torre reamed the entire team out in a team meeting. Remember, this is a 114 win team that got blasted by their manager.

Wrong. In 98' we only lost 1 game to the Rays the whole season.

Before this series started the Orioles were on a pace to win a grand total of 43 games !  That's 43 not 93. And tonight they have Sonny Gray pitching? Yikes. When they're playing that 1 game wildcard playoff game and facing James Paxton to go into the playoffs, we'll look back at this series. Pitiful.

Paxton doesn't scare me as long as we have Sevy on the mound at Yankees Stadium. Playing the game in Seattle scares me more, since with this skid the Yankees have suddenly hit, the Mariners now find themselves only 3 games behind the Yankees for the top wildcard spot (and home field advantage in that 1 game playoff). I hate to say it, but the 2018 Yankees are suddenly the 2017 Yankees all over again...Great at home, mediocre on the road, and as the Yankees found out last year...if you can't be as dominant on the road as you are at home, you will find yourself watching the World Series on TV.

This funk the Yankees are in, (not losing streak but funk,) along with the Red Sox winning have caused some crazy posts this week.

don't want the wildcard but there is precedent for the wildcard winning the ws before. see the giants in 2014 and there were 5 other winners before the 2 wildcard system.

also last season people act like the astros blew us out. we went 7 games and lost game 2 on a walk-off against chapman in the 9th and sevy didn't pitch well in game 6. not saying we win those games if chappy & sevy pitch better but the series could have gone either way. don't want it but it doesn't scare me.

You "may" be a Yankee fan Coco? You either are or you aren't. And if you are a true fan then you don't bad mouth them just because they aren't winning every game for you. We are in contention and I think there are only 2 teams with a better winning percentage in all of MLB. Also keep in mind we aren't exactly at full strength either. Keep your chin up and keep the faith man! We'll get there.
