Not sure about the money, but they sure are underachieving as an offense right now.. Let's hope this is a team slump that they are going to bust out of very soon...

What scares me with the way we are playing right now, and with the RS having a 3 1/2 game lead over us as of this morning, and with Gray pitching tonight, and a very tough four game series coming against the Indians, how far are are we going to be behind the Sox going into the AL break ??

I would say further back than we are now. They figure to beat Texas tonight. What a mismatch. Sale versus Colon. They will make Bartolo look like he is 70 years old knocking the crap out of him. And likely sweep a subpar Blue Jays team. And at best we figure to do no better than 3-2 in the next five with a good chance of being 2-3 or worse. This is not looking good. The Red Sox have a great chance to completely break open the division. If you can't beat Baltimore when everybody else does you don't deserve to win the AL East.

I think you're pretty close with your ideas... That's a scary thought, the Red Sox keep winning and we are struggling big time right now...

As I see it, the problem is that these lesser teams really get geared up to play the Yankees, and the Yankees can't seem to get geared up to play them.

If I'm not mistaken, isn't August the month the BlowSox usually slump?
