Yankee struggles

When I saw the Yankees struggle to beat the Blue Jays, I thought to myself the Baltimore series was going to be trouble.  The guys looked flat. Baltimore always gives us trouble.  When we beat them, it always seems like it takes more effort than we should have to give.  When we lose it is always because we take a lead and stop adding runs. The Yankees the past two years were great at piling on.  A few weeks ago that stopped. The team acted like, We can get more when we need more.

To be silenced against Baltimore's Bull pen is laughable and this team is better than that. But they weren't. I saw a team that won a few ugly games and they now are losing ugly. They need to stay crisp and play the bad teams like they play against the good ones. A few more games like this against Cleveland while Boston is rolling and it will be ugly in the standings as well. Getting tired of Boone's excuses and bad umpiring also. That hasn't helped.

I've watched thousands of games and have seen dozens of great Yankee teams - every great team goes through rough patches.  The only reason many people are upset is that the team ahead of us is hot.  They'll cool off, and this is going down to the wire.

We just need Torres back who happens to be our best hitter. I'd rather have him batting 2nd and Judge hitting cleanup.

You won't find many people to agree with you about getting Judge out of the two hole.  But...you have me in on that move.  I hate Judge in the two hole, hate it.  That guy would have a ton more RBI's than he has since they put him there, and analytics be damned, I don't care how they skew the numbers making it look good to have him there, it is ridiculous.  The whole object of Baseball is to score more runs than the other team, matter of fact score as many runs as possible, and solo home runs or a two run home run with Gardy on Base or Hicks, every 8 games is a joke.

Want to know how many times Judge got a two out hit with no one on base? A ton!  Want to know how many times he has hit solo shots?  A ton.  Take Judge in the number two hole as the right move and you know as much about baseball as you do about launching NASA Rockets after you build one.  Judge is being wasted, RBI's are being wasted, his hits are being wasted and it is stupid. Beyond dumb.  IMO of course.  God forbid I go against the majority of experts on here that think it's a great idea.  Yeah, I love solo homeruns especially when we lose a game by one run. (That's sarcasm folks).

I'd like to see Judge in the cleanup spot also.

Exactamundo! My wishes also. Judge in the 2 is taking the bat out of his hands. He feels his responsibility is to get on base for the big boppers and has said as much. Someone needs tp tell Boone Judge is a big bopper and bat him 3 or 4. Torres at the 2 is a perfect fit. Do it!

That's because you watch all the Yankee games, like I do.  You also have baseball smarts.  Some new ways are smart, some are dumb. Some old school ways are smart, and some are dumb.  A power hitting, .280 clutch hitter is not a number two hitter. Period. And when someone said his job was to get on base so that Stanton could drive him in, I almost crawled through my TV set to choke that fool out.  I think it may have even been Judge who said it, in a post game interview. They got the poor guy brainwashed I swear, if that is what he thinks. And how many times have Judge and Stanton gone back to back for home runs? None that I can think of or maybe one, so what the hell is the advantage of hitting them back to back? It is beyond frustrating to me to hear people say what a genius move it is to have Judge hitting 2nd.

They have Trout do it because they need him to be up more than the rest of the hitters, because he is the only hitter on that whole rotten team he is on. LMAO at people trying to follow supposed innovators of the game of baseball like Joe Maddon and his ruining the game with his stupid  extreme shifts.  He didn't invent anything he just obsessed over it, and went to extremes with it and ruined careers basically. Take "new baseball" and you can flush most of it, it made the game boring and stale. IMO of course! lol..

In all reality, Judge is the Big Bopper...

Tell me this doesn't make you want to choke out the person or people who told Boone to keep Judge 2nd.  Bases loaded. 2 outs. Gardy grounds into a force out. Side retired. Next inning Judge leads off with a home run, or walks. Or gets a double. Want to know how many times that has happened? Same scenario with 2 outs man on 3rd. Gardy pops up. 3 outs.  Judge leads off with a hit. You watch that happen a lot right?  You get it right? To many wasted Judge hits walks and home runs.

There was a reason for decades and decades that HR hitters hit 4th, power hitters hit 5th and your best hitter over all hit 3rd.  Not friggen 2nd!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For more AB's? That would be great if he hit .300 plus every season. But for 1 run homers? For 200 plus strike outs plus?  Puhleeze! That is absolute insanity and the people responsible for him there should be banished from every ball park in the country! Trying to turn Judge into an on base guy for Stanton to drive in SHOULD BE ILLEGAL.
