200 major league at bats. Lat year Judge said Bird is the best hitter of all the young guys. I'm, disappointed but not ready to give up on him.

Well, Bird/Yankees are going to be facing some below average pitching in the next few games, we'll see how he does, it's should be a good time to pick his game up ...

True. Which is why I practically jump out of my chair when I see him take very hittable off speed pitches early in counts.

   I am out of love with Bird but I don't see a lot of good alternatives. In addition, it seems that he could be the slowest guy in the sport who doesn't own shin guards.

His bat is not nearly as quick like it use to be. Lazy fly balls and even warning track fly balls to center say he's not catching up to fast balls. He's also swinging at a lot of pitches out of the zone, which he rarely did in the past. I'm still holding out hope he finds himself, and I hope it is sooner rather than later.
