Great wishing but I seriously doubt Keuchel will come here, beard or no. Corbin's a good bet right now. But I think we also need a complete (meaning all four) power-hitting OF: adding Harper if possible, but at least another LH bat in the line-up w/ power numbers and a high OPS. Didi's too erratic, and right now Bird's really not performed well, certainly nowhere near expectations. (I've said enough about the other LH guy.) The switch-hitting Hicks is okay, but that's it for LH power. At minimum, we can't rely on Bird in the future for that LH power-source, for he's bound to go through such slumps again.

Bird has showed very little ... Yankees are holding on because he is home grown.

I agree, Mo, but then why don't they put (the LH hitting 1B) Mike Ford on the 40-man and give him a chance to show what he's got? He's homegrown, too, and has played at SWB since time immemorial, it seems. He certainly can't do any worse than Bird. I just think Cashman has got fixated on Bird and, as w/ Cessa, can't let go of his imagination of what he thinks he can do.

This off-season will show us a lot ... we just have to be patient until then ... they are not getting rid of Bird before the off-season ... at least that's my opinion.

We. Must. Sign. Them.  If we add those two guys to the rotation we will really have an outstanding rotation.  Severino, Keuchel, Corbin, Happ/Lynn/Montgomery, and Tanaka?  Don't know what Tanaka will look like next year, not feeling too warm about that.  This should be a really good rotation even if we only get one of them.  With Chance and Sheffield, I really don't know what the story will be with them.  That being said...I've have not been too hot on Harper, but, but, Bird is not looking like the star we thought he would be, disappointing to say the least.  So...maybe Harper for 1st base?  Beatdown time...lol.

Hard pass on Keuchel.  He's a soft tosser who doesn't get strikeouts.  He's young enough and solid enough that he's going to get a contract that someone is going to seriously regret in a few years.  The Yankees should make sure it isn't them.  Corbin is the better pick.  He also doesn't through hard but he knows how to miss bats.  I'd rather bring in Corbin and bring back 2 of CC/Happ/Lynn at a lower price for depth.

corbins' the guy. keuchel could work as a lefty in the stadium but don't really see him leaving houston. he's also a very soft toss guy which concerns me for any long term contract.

Corbin really wants to be a Yankee, and the team needs pitching, so I see him a virtual lock to be signed.

No doubt, pitching has to the most biggest priority.  If either Keuchel and Corbin are available, we must get at least one, great would be both.

I think Corbin is the guy. I think CC goes. Corbin being the lefty power arm from NY. Younger then Keuchel and not sure Keuchel is cut out for NY. Probably will want to keep his beard type. I'll take him but if a choice between the 2 I'd take Corbin.

The beard issue might be too big for Keuchel to overcome.

And he won't get the off the plate calls here...   Pass on Keuchel, The Mets can have him!
