For every Walker there are two Drews and Carters.  Let’s hope that Bird rewards the patience of the Hankees and never again hits like the last two seasons

I can't imagine any loyal Yankee fans wishing for Bird's failure.  There may be a few out there who have predicted his demise and would rather be right.  I hope he breaks out big time, but we have to face the possibility that it won't be this season.  Bird does have options remaining...

I was hoping he would turn into a good player. I think he has talent but right now looks terrible. Has had a bad year. Career .220 something hitter. Injuries for sure hurt him. They are in a playoff push. Oakland is hot. Boston is on fire. Walkers been a pro. Was good last year. Needs at bats to produce. How long do they wait ?

That's the 525,300 USD question.

Yea I want him to do good but these games matter. With Judge out even more important to get a contribution from him. Thought he had a sweet swing. Maybe he's still hurt. He has hid it before . If not either way he's hurting the team.

I keep waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting.

I know. I actually feel bad for him. Has to be tearing him up but these games right now are so important. Walker has a resume. Bird doesn't yet.

Walker is showing up for us ... Bird just can't seem to find it.

Injuries for sure have set him back but now they need someone reliable. To many weak ground balls to the right side.Balls he should crush he's not. To many K's.  Shame but they should play the player who gives them the best chance to win.

Just posted an update on Boone ... he's going to be out longer than they thought ... so having someone show up to hit for first base is going to be important.

I saw. Stinks. Mo stop referring to Boone as Judge. Your getting me confused.

Point is bandwagon jumpers work both ways...on and off. Curious as to how many who were trashing Walker just a week or two ago have now jumped on.

I try not to bash my team... baseball is a game of failure.  I figure every dog will have his day, during a long season. There are a lot of ups and downs. That does'nt mean I don't sometimes vent... usually during the game thread.

I don't understand or care for "fans" who come here day in and day out and trash this team. That is not a real fan... imo. Some of these 2nd guesser's, arm chair managers don't impress or entertain me. For the most part I just pass over the log drawn out dribble. I have some friends on here who I've rooting with for many years. I see a few new posters who I'm starting to enjoy... you're one of them 2BBobby.

That's my 2 cents!

Thanks Lola.

I’ve made it clear that I’m biased re Bird...have a bit of a personal connection. No doubt he’s struggling now, and have no problem with Walker getting more playing time.

Just recall a couple of Bird “watch” threads which went silent when he started hitting and the criticism resumes now, which was easily predictable.
