The biggest blunder of the season

Not acquiring Eovaldi when he was available.

This is not hindsight. This is not Monday morning quarterbacking.

The moment I saw Eovaldi was available I hoped against hope that Cash would trade for him. Not acquiring Eovaldi was the single biggest blunder of this season.

And not bringing Girardi back!

Boone: You know my mama wanted me to be a Manager.

Judge: My dad wanted me to be a baseball player.

Boone: Well you're better than any player I ever had. And you're the best God damn player I ever saw. Suit up.

Sounds like hindsight to me. You wanted  Cashman  to sign a pitcher who  wasn't  very good his first time here and coming off Tommy John  surgery. Okay

If Cashman had traded for Verlander last year, the Yankees would have won the WS.

I suggest you might want to consider taking a course in reading comprehension.

I've been thinking the same thing... I always liked Eovaldi.

I hate to say but it seems like EVERYTHING has gone right for The Sox this season. Last nights game was the perfect example... every ball they hit finds a hole. Every ball we hit finds a glove. JD Martinez was not an mvp player... we got Stanton. Nunneys even turned inti a decent fielder. Somethings wrong in The Universe... very wrong!

he was never this good for us . Not bringing Girardi back is the kicker here. He is far superior in handling the pen than Boone.

Case in point, He would NEVER have let Sevy start the 4th and he never would have brought in Lynn with bases loaded . My quess  is he would have  brought in either Betances or Green.

Also as bad as Gray was , i WOULD  have  rather have seen him come in instead of Lynn, but he was not on roster.

Girardi also would have pulled CC much earlier and not waited until he got to Bradley. What a  dumbazz move , a real rookie manager's mistake .

I believe Kay is  right. Sanchez cost  both Girardi and Pena their jobs.

It is amazing how they coddle Sanchez and bend over backwards to sooth his feelings. Yet, Bird who was on the same interstate, average wise  all year . gets kicked to the crub. Kay has said  the thinks that the organization feels that Bird can take the critical comments more. If Sanchez is  that easily bothered by comments, how does he expect to be a successful major league catcher ?

Maybe because he never pitched against this team... In all honesty, this team is not a good hitting team, a power hitting team but only one player even close to .300 and he was sitting on the bench last night ?? When I saw Andujar wasn't at third base last night I told my wife, he needs to be the DH and Stanton should be on the bench ??? I wonder how that would have played out, I'm betting he wouldn't have struck out nearly as much as Stanton ??

It's a given fact, if this team doesn't hit home runs, it doesn't win !!! Undecided

I wasn't on this board last season, but, on the MLB Yankee board, fans were complaining about Girardi moves and non-moves the same way people here are complaining about Boone.  The grass always looks greener on the "back 40"...
