I'm warming up the bullpen now...oh, the season is over?? I didn't see that I'll have to check it out.

This guy is a terrible manager. Hard to believe he didn't learn his lesson from the night before, but he didn't.  He has no one warming in the bull pen in a "must win" game?  After CC loaded the bases in the first inning and luckily got out of it, someone should have been up.  Now we have to wait six months for more Yankee baseball.  He deserves to be fired.

He should be replaced ... he lost Monday's game by letting it get too far out of hand with his pitching decisions ... it took the Yankees right out of the game ... and he lost last night's game by leaving CC in too long ... he's not a major league manager ... he never paid his dues ... never understood why the front office would hire someone like him.

I agree. Looks like the Yankees worst off season move by not bringing back Girardi came back to haunt them.

Most managers have a "best if used by" date and maybe Girardi had reached his.  If being "mean" to Sanchez was a contributing factor that is just plain dumb as both his offense and defense regressed this year and, of course, there were the documented instances of half a$$ed effort.

I lost count of the number of games that went from "trailing but still within striking distance"  to "turn off the TV ths one is over" because of Boone's pitching decisions.  They might not have won games 3 and 4 but it is certain Severino would not have gone out for the 4th, CC would have been replaced before he loaded the bases and Lynn would not have been the first guy out of the bullpen under Girardi.

Aside from keeping the clubhouse relatively happy, a manager's main job is to put his player's in the best position to win.  But all too often Boone's decisions had the opposite affect. Sure the starting pitching was poor, even Tanaka benefited from some hard hit balls being hit right at someone.  And, as we saw all season long, hitting with RISP was an issue (the RS hit .400 with RISP).   It is hard enough to beat the other team without having to defeat your own manager as well.

Argeed Rob but we know he isn't going anywhere so we have to hope he can improve.
