The rules are clear: Whitaker can’t supervise Mueller’s investigation

I wrote the special counsel regulations. We never would have imagined a situation like this.

A little biased , He doesn't mention Rosenstein has more conficts then Whitaker. Session wasn't fired. He resigned. If he was fired it would be more clear. Whitaker is a temp. Trump should appoint someone as soon as possible and watch the Dems complain no matter who he appoints.

Come on Yank, the rules are what they are. And do you really believe that Sessions wasn't fired?

He wasn't fired. He could have refused to resign and then he could have made Trump fire him. Seen it many times. They give you the option so on record he wasn't.

Under FVRA it is questionable if he violated any rules. I'm sure somebody will bring a lawsuit so why get all worked up.

He's not firing Mueller. If I was Trump I'd appoint someone within the week and if the Dems are so worried about Whitaker do a speedy confirmation of his choice. Most wont vote for whoever it is.

I like how the Dems ignore all the reasons Rosenstein should recuse himself.

Just so we know the games the Dems play Holder Obamas buddy had 21 Republicans vote for him.

Come on pal, he was asked to resign. That's a polite way of saying someone is fired. What would Sessions gain by refusing? Why should Rosenstein recuse himself? What games are you talking about?

Will that be OK for the libs? What if the ethics offcials say he doesn't have to recuse himself?

I've pointed out numerous times why Rosenstein should recuse himself but it's ignored because the Dems don't want him to recuse himself. Again no double standard. If Whitaker does so should Rosenstein.

Whitaker offered opinions. He has to recuse himself.

Rosenstein is totally conflicted but Dems ignore it . No hypocrisy there.

Where's Rosenstein conflicted? A year and a half into the Mueller investigation and all of a sudden Rosenstein has to recuse himself, come on. He didn't pre-judge the Mueller investigation.

If the ethics officials say that Whitaker doesn't have to recuse himself so be it. What's Trump going to say if another one of his AGs has to recuse himself?

I get that Craner's post was snarky to a very complex issue, but that article is horrible IMO, Max.

And just judging the Trump tweet in that article, with nothing else added for context, the person writing it did a p1ss poor job of rebuking him.

Quible over forest vs dried vegetation and brush is childish BS, and the headline was a trolling attempt at views. Sorry, but no sale on that one.

I respectfully disagree Dixie because I'm not sure what else she could say being she showed that Trump was wrong by addressing what he said basically point by point.
