Now Trump is overtly trying to take over the Russia investigation himself by replacing Sessions with a lackey who will not rightly recuse himself as Sessions did.  THIS WOULD BE OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE!

Rosenstien should have recused himself. He's a possible witness in this investigation in regards to Commeys firing and signing FISA warrants. Didn't hear any libs complaining about that.

Are you saying that the Dems were somehow controlling Rosenstein?  You think it's OK for the man who's being investigated to be able to manipulate the investigation in the way it appears Trump wants to?

It's been hinted at for awhile Yank it would happen after midterms. The next day is fast. Feel bad for Sessions but he didn't seem interested in obvious wrong doings starting the Russia mania. Of course the media gonna say it's obstruction of justice as if this will half Mueller. Just remembering the IG.....where's his report on that?

Mueller has taken too long with this investigation ... I didn't have an issue with him doing the investigation in the beginning, but he has gone overboard by miles ... time to either give his report or end the investigation.

Trump himself said today that his taxes were much too complicated for mere mortals to understand.  Only his tax boys can, evidently.  Just think how complex his dealings with the Russkies must be.  Mueller should take all the time he needs and get to the bottom of it.  Think of the hue and cry that would have been raised by the Republicans had Mueller brought it up before the elections.  That sort of treatment is evidently only reserved for Hillary Clinton and the Dems...

Mueller should have been done with the investigation way before the elections, where it wouldn't have been an issue to give his report ... his time should be up by now for sure ... he should be given an ultimatum ... give your report or the investigation is ended.

None of us citizens who are out of the investigative loop can have any idea of just how far the Trump tentacles extend and how long it should take to track down all the evidence.

It's funny 18-20 months of Mueller investigating the biggest fraud ever is too long, but how many years did they investigate Hillary ??  It's time to not be a total hypocrite and let the process work...  Sessions was a great man until he excused himself, does anyone understand why he excussed himself, well it's because he was part of the whole thing to start out with... How many guilty pleas does there have to be for you people to understand where there's smoke there's a hell of a lot of fire ???

I don't but also think Rosenstein was involved in the investigation and if Sessions felt he had to recuse himelf Rosenstein surely should have.

Democrats lamenting the ouster of Jeff Sessions - an attorney general who moved DOJ in a sharply conservative direction and launched a border crackdown that separated thousands of children from their parents - is a pretty stark illustration of just how weird things are right now.

Trump bypass Rosenstein to install Whitaker as Session's replacement.  Trump fearful of DEMs controlling the house come January has put into place Whitaker as quick as possible to stop Mueller prior to 2019.

I have said repeatedly, if Mueller finish his investigation.  Whatever the outcome, many DEMs will accept his conclusions. It seems it might not happen. Whitaker a CNN pundit/commentator former prosecutor has been an avid critic of Mueller, is likely installed to stop Mueller in his tracks.

Whitaker penned an op-ed for CNN in which he suggested the Russia investigation was  “a witch hunt.”  Under those circumstances, Whitaker is not impartial enough to be given this responsibilty.  A conflict of legitimacy as he previously made critisizing comments calling it a witch hunt. Really?  The fox in charge to watch over the hen house???

An organized protest to occur tomorrow in reaction to Sessions firing]

Matt Whitaker, Trump’s Acting Attorney General Pick, Is A Major Critic Of The Russia Probe

The former federal prosecutor suggested last August that Mueller’s investigation could be turning into a “witch hunt.”

'A Red Line Crossed': Nationwide Protests Declared for Thursday at 5PM After Jeff Sessions Fired

"Trump thought that by waiting until after the polls closed on Election Day, our voices would be silent. He was wrong."

Progressive organizations have announced coordinated protests to take place in cities and communities nationwide on Thurdsay, November 8th at 5 PM (local time) in the wake of President Donald Trump's firing of Attorney General Jeff Sessions.

Right after Trump forced Sessions to resign, the White House announced that Matthew Whitaker—a DOJ official who has shown open hostility to the probe by Special Counsel Robert Mueller—would now serve as acting AG and be put in charge of the ongoing investigation.

"Trump just put someone who has openly trashed Special Counsel Robert Mueller's Russia investigation in charge of it," Robert Weissman, president of Public Citizen, one of the advocacy groups behind the rapid-response demonstrations, explained in an emergency email Wednesday evening. "Trump thought that by waiting until after the polls closed on Election Day, our voices would be silent. He was wrong."

Anna Galland, executive director for MoveOn.org, said: "This is a red line crossed, an attack on rule of law."

According to organizers:

This Thursday at 5 p.m. local time, Americans will rally at locations all across the country. Join them.

Find a protest near you.

Lets not forget one thing, the new congress come January can call Mueller in front of their investigating committee and he'll have to answer questions about what he found out in his investigations, and if needed he'll have to show proof... So stopping Mueller now only prolongs the misery until after the new congress is sworn in...
