Michael Kay just got a tweet that the signing of Corbin is inminent, but whoever tweeter did not mention a name. He visited a couple of Teams including the Yanks, he also visited the Phillies I just hope it is the Yanks since it is his name the one that we have heard over and over. He is a Yankee Fan, so that alone ought to be good enough for Cashman and Company. They also have enough money to bring him in.

I just heard that the deal will be for 6 years at $120 mill maybe a bit more and the Yanks are steadfast on 5 years. If the problem is a year difference I wonder why the Yanks do not want to give him what he wants? I will be truly upset if this is true and he goes to Phillies or Nats

Corbin to sign with the Nats is what I heard on Michael Kay. SO I guess it will Haap for the Yanks. Not too happy today.  I guess the Yanks felt he was not good enough for 6 years. I wonder what Gem is left that can help the Yanks get to the WS.

If the deal was for 6 yrs/120 then Cashman has made a wise decision not to put up a higher offer.

The deal was 6 years and $ 140 M. I am fine with the Yankees passing on that.

As the late George Young said even when they say its not about the money, it is about the money.

Stupid Yankees willing to give speedster Ellsbury 7 years / $153 million but won't give a quality pitcher 6 years / $140 million. Outfielders are a dime a dozen but good pitchers are hard to come by but yet they are willing to spend more for the former. Dumb.

Cash has skimped out on aquiring number 1 pitching for years in favour of midrotation arms, stockpiling relievers and guys that either hit homeruns or strikeout a ton. Its his M.O. He's been doing this for years, and thats why we never win it all in October or even win the East.

Why stop now Cash, overpay for Machado and Happ and spin that this is a good offseason, your not fooling anyone Cash. He's set the franchise back by not signing Corbin to 6years because the alternatives mean giving up more of the farm he is depleting, or offering midrotation starters like Happ a bigger deal than we should. What a mess.
