so I guess he had no desires to even talk to the Yankees.......Red Sox made sure of that........not really sure we missed out on anything, given his failure, or near failure in New York........running out of pitchers to talk to......open up the trade gates.......

I'm going out and very heavy limb and betting he gives us fits every time we face him... but did you really expect him not to sign with a team like Boston ??

So now we overspend on Happ or the Japanese pitcher ?? We don't have any trade pieces left...

basically depends what players Yanks are ok with trading away, and who to keep moving forward........though not a pitcher, I have a strong inclination that Harper will land in New York soon........for all players available, the window is getting smaller.......time to make a splash.......Cashman has a way of surprising everyone when least expected......j/s..........go Yanks

He's surprised me already, I thought for sure he was going after Corbin, I guess I was wrong... Like I said he'll most likely overpay for Happ, and I hope you're right on the Harper deal, I don't like the money he is going to cost but at least it's only money and I think he will play big in NY ??

Hey, he had a losing record in 2018 with an ERA just South of 4.  He only piched 111 innings all year, so of course he was well-rested for the playoffs.  He pitched to the limit of his arm and his heart in the October of his contract year.  Anyone wanna bet he pitches that well all season in 2019?  I can tell you right now he won't. We didn't miss out on the second coming of Roger Clemens, and I wouldn't want to be chained to him paying $17 million a year for the next four years.  Look at his career stats and his medical history.  No, thank you.

Anyone else hear the theory that Eovaldi is going to be used as a reliever / closer in 2019 ? Sort of a super Joe Kelly / Craig Kimbrel.

What makes him a "super" version of those guys?

Happ is Yankees’ next pitching target. They didn’t want to go past 3 years on Eovaldi, who is a hero in Boston anyway.

I'd like Happ at 2 instead of Eo for 4.

Cash better jump on this one.
