Cashman needs to revamp this pitching staff saying good bye to a very good Yankee that is way past his prime and pitches 4 innings.  Thank you CC for your service.

Happ was a nice addition but he is getting way up there in age for a pitcher and I would only bring him back after I signed 2 of the 3 prime pitchers on the market.

What we need is top pitchers younger pitchers.

3 options and they should make every effort to obtain:

Option 1 - Corbin

Option 2 - Keuchel

Option 3 - Kluber( Indians shopping him)

Have to make every effort to obtain 2 of them. Happ actually would be a good fall back option but CC is not going to help the Yanks win.

Dont let them pull the wool over our eyes signing CC. It is a budget move if they do that and it doesnt show they are going all out to win.

Also signing Garner was another budget move to a great Yankee in his decline that signals they will not pursue Harper in free agency. Im ok with that but its about budget with them now until they show us something different this year.

So far the Yankees are going the budget option thinking that any Yankees fan believes bringing back CC and Happ is an upgrade to this staff. Paxton hopefully can handle New York and that was an upgrade for sure.

Budget before winning is the moto of this organization now.

CC Sabathia is finished and he just had a Heart operation to boot. Happ got beat good by our one true enemy the lowly Red Sox when we needed him most. Great job Cashman!!

Now he is content to watch our bullpen walk out the door.

Manny Machado should be our target now. Should do what it takes to bring him in.

Andujar should also be our 3rd baseman for the next decade.

Good bye Didi... What we going to keep him around because he is left handed and smiles and tweets after the games?! He is a big time up and down hitter. Machado and Andujar are much better hitters.

Prediction they do not sign Machado or Harper because of the Fred Coupon model.

The days of chasing championships Im afraid are over if they continue on this path as we will be just good enough to play 2nd fiddle to the Sox.

Even Arod could tell this team was weak going into the playoffs last year.   They don't have enough pitching and too many swing and miss bats.

Them Signing Cc and Gardner was the nail in the coffin for me.  There was zero reason to bring them back with so many other options out there they bring these two fisnished players back.

I have to agree with you on this...Gardner is a hot and cold hitter, as of last year he was more cold than hot... CC did well now and then, but he still was only a five inning pitcher, and sometimes he didn't get that far... I understand Ca$hmans love for both players, but I think for the money they spent they could have added they could have done better...

So far I don't see how any Yankee fan can be happy with their off season moves. A lot of work to be done and they don't seem to be in any rush to get there.Paxton was a good move but they need a lot more then that.

Other than what the OP wrote about Didi (who I believe with Judge are the 2 MVPs of this team) it is hard to disagree with this post. I like both CC and Gardner, but they may have been more sentimental than smart baseball moves. I admit I have never been overly impressed with Cashman, but the last couple seasons he's done little to improve this club.

The Cashman model is dumpster diving. If and when Voit implodes and Bird is a no show with his bat, that’s exactly what Trashman will do. Chris Carter come on down Undecided

I think Ca$hman has done an OK job, he's built the minor league system up from where we were, he's spent within his means, I'm sure Hal/Hank&Co. have some restraints on him...

I still thing Ca$hman is going to lite some fireworks before this offseason is done ?? There are several price players that aren't signed, I think we will get a couple players we didn't think we were going to get or bring back a couple that we had given up hope on ?? I see there is an article that says Yankees are looking at BP arms and Britton and Robertson are on the Yankees radar, let's just sit back and relax, I think Ca$hman as a few things up his sleeve yet ??
