Most Cons are silent. That's why I laugh when they claim to be for "family values."

Trump separated thousands more immigrant children

I explained that before:

Bush did not detain parents with children creating an incentive to pierce our border with children

Obama detained repeat offenders with or without children.  The ones with children were separated.

Trump enacted zero tolerance detaining all offenders with or without children.  The ones with children were separated.

The zero tolerance policy would be the one that creates the greatest disincentive, it discourages crossing the border with or without children.

What of the 5 million rejected immigration requests daily and half of all H1B visas denied?  We need legal immigration, we need E-Verify.  Those that talk of walls, tech, boots on the ground, or open borders are stooges.  At least when it comes to immigration.  Catch and release is not a deterent, it is an invitation.

You explained it before and another poster showed you why it wasn't Obama policy to seperate children from their parents.

politifact did not contradict my statement.  It is not my fault the Obama administration did not keep data on separations and relatively rare is not an answer.  It didn't happen under Bush, it happened to repeat offenders under Obama, and it happened every time under Trump.

It sure did contradict your statement, in plain English. Separations were rare and they weren't part of Obama's policy.

Not included in the article was that Obama also made it possible for children to apply for asylum in the home countries so that they didn't have to make that dangerous trip with or without their parents. A policy that Trump foolishly ended.

What is rare?  In a country of 320 million I would call 2,300 rare.  It happened because repeat offenders were prosecuted and if you are prosecuted you are separated by your children.  If politifact disagrees with that they are lying.

House Democrats Add $1 Billion in Border-Related Spending to Measures to Reopen Government

a.msn.com/01/en-us/BBSqldl?ocid=st

The money would be used for additional infrastructure at ports of entry on the border and to hire immigration judges.

Trump should take the deal because he couldn't get and won't get the funds ($25B-$30B) for a wall across the US-Mex. border from the Cons, so it shouldn't be expected from the Dems.

Huh? SA is over 100+ miles away from the border. Maybe he's thinking about the walls around The Alamo?

"You look at different places, they put up a wall, no problem," "You look at San Antonio, you look at so many different places, they go from one of the most unsafe cities in the country to one of the safest, immediately. Immediately. It works. We have to put them up, and we will put them up. We've got to." ~ Trump
