Texas landowners preparing to fight eminent domain over proposed border wall: report

That could get interesting.  Legally they have no case, eminent  domain is addressed in the Constitution preventing the government from taking private porperty for public use without just compensation.  This is by definition taking property for public use unlike Kelo vs City of New London.  I think the land owners can make a fortune off of this but I would be shocked if they won.  It would be an awesome windfall if this inadvertantly weakens the government's ability to use eminent domain.

That's another reason why it will end up in courts for years if Trump declares a national emergency

If Trump declares a national emergency, the emminent domain cases should be handled in a number of days.

Our crumbling infrastructure, an unaffordable, broken health care system and endless wars for resources are our national emergencies. The southern border, not so much.

Our infrastructure is getting a ton of funding in this budget cycle.  The health care system needs work.  We are also energy sustainable and EXPORTING oil for the first time in ages.  It sounds like he's working on our other emergencies.

Go ahead and let them try.  He's not afraid of them either.

When the Mueller report wraps up, they will have to make a very tough choice, I guess we'll see if they support their country or a crook in the WH... The Republicans caved on Nixon, when the chips are all in, they'll do the same to donald..
