Sure...just as it's always been the case that Mexico would pay for it.

Yup...Mr Sincerity.

Come off it!  Trump is a xenophobe and a bigot.  He long ago made it obvious who the "bad illegals" are and who the "good illegals" are.  The good ones are the ones he can exploit in his businesses.

Trump is going off the rails with "national emergency" talk.  If any Republican members of Congress back this sh;tshow, they deserve to be voted out at the earliest opportunity.

No he is not. He is an awful person who only cares about himself. He is exactly what we do not need in the WH.

Trumpet is deceitful, dishonest, devious and disingenuous to say the least. The antithesis of sincerity. He has no redeeming qualities.

After Trump's lackluster speech and Pelosi and Schumer refusing to negotiate, we are again at an impasse.

I haven't seen any poll where the majority doesn't blame Trump for the Trump Shutdown.

Pelosi and Schumer did negotiate, they agreed on republican bills that passed the Senate and passed the House TWICE under both democratic and republican leadership. It's Trump who refused to sign those bills because he's allowing himself to be led around by the likes of Coulter and Rush.

They're arguing over than less than 1% of the federal budget...

Trump is an incredibly insecure individual with an insatiable ego that needs to be constantly fed. Anything that will allow him to say he "won" will satisfy him, and also encourage his behavior moving forward. We'll never hear the end of it...but hopefully that'll only last another 2 years.

As for "arguing over than less than 1% of the federal budget"...I thought "conservatives" strongly opposed spending on needless projects. You seem willing to spend $5B to satisfy the ego of a petulant child. That money could be put to better use.

With his ego sometimes I wonder if he just wants to be the President and the reason for the country's longest shutdown. He craves attention, and negative attention is still attention.

Democrats KNOW a barrier is needed in certain areas. But their hatred for Trump keeps them from doing what they should. President election next yr can't have Trump have his wall/barrier victory. Hope logical people see that . You trump haters won't

What victory can he declare? He promised many times that Mexico was going to pay for the wall. No matter how anyone wants to spin it, wall or no wall that's an epic failure by not keeping that promise.

The Democrats are for fencing in certain areas and I haven't heard one of them oppose a Tech-wall. But none of that has anything to do with Trump shutting down the government. 800,000 Federal workers and Farmers shouldn't be held hostage. Tarriffs are hurting Farmers and those same Framers are getting screwed again because they aren't getting their tariff relief checks.
