Ok, I made that up. But MLB is making a change to the name "disabled list" It will now be called the "Injured List".....no changes on usage as of yet, but they are considering a 15 day minimum for pitchers instead of the now 10 day minimum across the booard.
I have no idea why they felt any need to change the name of the list, or any of the rules, but whatever.....

I would have gone with Ellsbury List

Sounds like political correctness stupidity. We can't offend delicate sensibilities...

They're afraid of being accused of insensitivity to the "differently abled." More PC horsesh*t. They're making D.L. Hughley change his name, too.

If people feel like it conflates a temporary injury with a debilitating disability, what's the big deal with changing it? I mean, they might have to print out some new forms that have the corrected term for filing paperwork, but other than that, who cares?

You are welcome to recall my posts when it becomes that i'm proven wrong as long as we judge it on the merits of what we knew to be true at the time it was posted.

I think it's brave of the MLB, I look forward to more changes to the very stifling ,oppressive archaic patriarchal language of baseball, like boys of summer is offensive and non inclusive to many who don't identify as a boy, catcher is a derogatory term for men who love men in a certain way, short stop is offensive to those who are height challenge, spitball is just vulgar & gross, a cutter is offensive to depressed emo teens who cut themselves, stealing a base should be change to borrowing a base I think it's a disparaging term for anyone who believes that the justice system needs reforming , hit and run is a violent traumatic term for anyone who's been a victim, I mean survivor of such a motor vehicle incident. We all have our truths please feel safe to speak them here

He just made the cut for spring training roster
I hope he is with another organization before opening day.
The Yankees have $47mm reasons to have Ellsbury on the active roster over Frazier and they will make playing time for him to try to recoup some of that by the deadline. Pure albatross.
