I'm surprised Manny didn't bite at that, it might turn out to be the best offer he'll get.

If this is true it makes me feel better about Hal, and feel like Manny and his agent are reading the market wrong.    If he's trying to top 300 million or top Stanton's deal he picked the wrong time for it.

If he wanted to be a Yankee, 7 years @31 million per should have convinced him.

If Manny passed on that, then good riddance. Let him and ole Harper see where they land with their greed.

Said by former GM Jim Duquette and only him. Nobody has this info but him. Not Buster Olney or Jason Sark or Ken Rosenthal. No Joel Sherman or Tom Verducci or Jon Heyman. So unless I hear it from one or more of these guys I will not believe this. And if this is true Cashman is off his rocker. You already acquired a 2nd baseman and you don't even have room for Tutowiski who he loves so where are you going to put Machado. And Didi will be back. Your weakness on your team is a left handed bat which Machado isn't and you could rather have an outfielder and a player that can learn 1st base if needed. And if you going to throw that money out there I would suggest giving that money to BRYCE HARPER.  It just makes sense putting a lefty power hitter behind Judge and Stanton and Sanchez who all bat right.

Reported where?    I have seen nothing that reflects the Yankees offered terms, just spoke in generalities.    I doubt that offer ever took place.

More slow talk BS, I think if the Yankees would have offered  him that kind of deal he'd be a Yankee now...

maybe BS. surprised if it were true. but machado over harper - no way. if we're taking the plunge, then it has to be on harper's LH bat. we already have a should have been ROY, "potential" all-star at 3B who makes league minimum.

This feels like an attempt from Hal to prove he isn't cheap.

I'm over Machado though.  Sign Harper.
