Pretty eye-opening.   She was cast for a part.

It's no wonder that every time she has to answer questions that go off script, she's a disaster.

That's the stupidest twisting of words i've ever heard in my life, and i think anybody swayed by that argument is a fking ****

She literally responded to a casting call, her head is empty - she's just saying what her handlers want her to.

What would you call someone who ends up in Congress via a casting call with the "Justice Democrats"?

Refute the evidence in the tweet if you can.   You sound frustrated here, this is beneath the way you usually are able to reason.

It's a ridiculous twisting of words/

"Her brother sent her name into central casting, and that's how she was cast in the role" is just malicious wording of "her brother nominated her, and she was chosen as the representative to run for the election"

She was supporting a political action group and she uses the same wording and phrasing that they use? That's like saying MAGA ****s are cast by the republicans and coached into what to say because they use phrases like "build that wall" and "lock her up"

It's a ridiculously stupid video. I'm not being unreasonable, it's just that stupid of a video

How would it be any different than her brother submitting her for a show like Survivor and her being chosen?  She's being chosen by people not because of her own ideas, but as a pawn and idol to push their own ideas through.   She auditioned for that role.

And I wasn't aware that PACs get to run the offices of the candidates they raised money for, is that usual?   The video noted that AOC didn't write one word of the Green New Deal, doesn't that suggest she has no policy of her own?  That she's just there to publically present someone else's political agenda?

Take it in the context of her stumbling in press conferences and interviews and saying some of the most ignorant things any politician has ever said and it all starts to make sense.   Throw in video of her handlers making the exact same thoughts and there's no doubt.

She's a puppet on a string.   She's like a no-talent boy band that doesn't write any of its own music and lip syncs.

And how would it be different if her brother dropped off her resume at a job fair and she got a call to come in and interview for the job? It's not all that different, other than people using different phrases to describe similar things when they're occurring in different contexts.

Do you refer to a job fair as a casting call? Do you refer to interviews as auditions? What's the difference?

Your link is broken, i didn't watch the full half hour because i don't care and the initial part that i did watch didn't impress me, i can't find it anymore on his feed anyways, so i can't speak to your other assertions that she didn't write a single word of it. If that's an assertion and it's accurate, i still wouldn't care because the thought of a republican submitting legislature they themselves didn't write also wouldn't shock or outrage me.

So you're OK with PACs running the careers of political pawns that they choose based on their looks and potential for "star power"?  It's a casting call because they are choosing her based on her face and acting ability, not her mind, ideas or policy.   But you're OK with that.

You didn't watch the video and yet you called the ideas therein the stupidest most ridiculous ideas ever.   Says a lot about you, not the ideas.

I called the ideas at the beginning of the video ridiculous and a malicious twisting of words. I also didn't see any validity to their assertions in what i saw, it was merely just claims without anything to back them up

Fine, let it all be true. AOC is the first politician to have interest groups influence her message. Lobbying isn't something that exists

Is that how you read generally, you skim the summary paragraph only?  Seems a pretty skimpy way to decide something is the "most stupid/ridiculous idea ever".    To call someone's work stupid without even reviewing it is pretty weak sauce.

They're not influencing her message, they are her message.  But you didn't watch the video so why are you still commenting here about it?  Weird.

This isn't lobbying either, but again you don't even know what you're comparing it to since you didn't watch it.

If i read 25% of a book and i think it's trash, yeah i don't continue reading.

If they wanted me to continue to watch, they should have made the beginning of it more compelling rather than, what i felt was just malicious word choice that wasn't really substantiated

If we're being fair, following a broken link, and finding what i thought your post was trying to link to in order to watch it didn't exactly impress me either. But yeah, what i watched seemed stupid. Did the end of the video suddenly turn pullitzer quality or what?
