Can't bunt. No baseball sense. Little leaguers know to run until someone tells you not to.

Boone, the ignor****, insists on hitting him first, and Judge second, like it's cast in bronze.  Gardner, at his age and deteriorting skills, needs to be a bench player.

The only reason he's starting  is because of the injury to Hicks . Once Hicks returns Gardner  won't  be playing on a regular basis.

Seniority matters, folks. Not saying its right but that goes to the heart of the reason for why Boone won't budge on his lineup position. Plus, the fact in how battles and working the count better than anyone except the two Aarons (Judge & Hicks) means Brett still has a case for being on top. Personally, I wish LeMahieu and Torres were batting in the first two spots and Brett goes to the "second leadoff spot" aka the 9th position.

Never understood why they re-signed Gardner, it was quite obvious last year that his best days were in the past.

I liked Gardy in the past but I was against Cashman and the Yankees organization bringing him back. If they really wanted to bring him back for his leadership skills they should have forced him to retire and given him a job as a bench coach.

With any luck, when Hicks comes back, Gardner should be put on the IL immediately with a phantom injury!!

This team is in an early season nosedive.   Find every way to lose.
