Trying to find a thread where Jonah's not whining and I couldn't so I started this one.
Just a couple days ago I posted that I was ambivilent about Boone. He's starting to concern me. I get it, the team is loaded with injuries, regardless of what reliever he brings into the game, they get shelled and he can't put any consistent lineup out there.
All that being said, this team has more than enough to beat teams like the Tigers and the White Sox. Things like Sanchez getting picked off two days in a row are a sign that this team is not mentally prepared to play. They are playing bad baseball with both phsical and mental errors. That's on the manager. They need to break out of it quickly and sharpen up or Boone will be the fall guy

I've been on the fence with Boone for a long time, but for me he's  quickly  falling off the fence to the dark side. I couldn't  care less if they let him walik, but I doubt it will  be  before  the  end  of  the  year.

Every manager wins a couple of games his team should have lost and loses a handful of games his team should have won by moves he did or did not make.  But it seems like Boone comes down more on the "loses games his team should have won" side of the equation more than he should.  Joe Torre made a ton of decisions that left you wondering "what the hell is he thonkibg" but which somehow worked out for the best far nore often than not for most of his tenure.

Boone seems to me to be over his head.  The mental mistakes and often lackluster play are a suggestion that the team is not really ready to play and that is on Boone.

I think Boone has stepped up with pitching changes ... don't know about how he handles the clubhouse ... I think all the injuries are getting to the players on the field.

I do remember hearing that management didn't like the way Girardi was a tough manager with the players ... so Boone is what they wanted ... Mr. Softee.

I hated Girardi so I never thought I would say this but I miss the Binder.

I am not sure if would characterize Boone as "the fall guy" should the Yankees spiral down and a change is made. If the manager is not responsible for finding a way to get players to pay attention to detail, than who is ? Torre would talk about players needing to be intense without getting tense. I don't know how to do that and so I am not upset about not being a major league manager. I think Boone might need to share the belief.

With all that, Boone did not pick his own coaching staff. Nor did he decide on the roster and he might even have very limited say on the style of play. If the data shows that the team is losing, maybe someone else has to take the blame.

If Happ had just a bad start the Yankees win last night.

But that wasnt enough for him ... he had to go above and beyond and just completely suck !

As bad as Happ was, Green  put the game out of reach  throwing gasoline  on the fire.

Yep, what the hell is up with him? His ERA is almost 12. Even without Betances that bullpen is supposed to be the strong point of this team right now with all the injuries to the lineup. Bring one of them in and its like pouring gas on a fire, Too many guys not doing their jobs.

How long will it be before  we hear Green felt discomfort in his whatchmacallit and will be sent for an MRI, followed  by a 10 day  IL stint which will turn into 30 days?
