Love what the guy is doing and he is great defensively! But he is a life time 225 hitter that suddenly is hitting 360! My guess the pitchers will catch up to him and the average will fall rapidy and Andular will start hitting again and be back at third. But I don't think the guy is going anywhere.

BTW - Cashman has some tough desissions to make soon!

Imo... there's no way they sit Urshela over Andujar now. Fans would storm the castle. These problems of who to play usually work themselves out. Im sure most teams would relish to have this depth. Who thought the Yanks would be playing so well with half the starting team on the IL.

The Yankees have recent precedent for just that with a Gregorius and Hicks

Also Swisher and Brosius.

The starting team didn't play so well to start the season! We will see as they come back and what players get the Scranton train tickets!

PS - I'm sure Cashman is on the phone working out a deal (s) with all these new player chips!

The guy could clearly play.  I wouldn't look at him as the .230 hitter that he had been in limited MLB abs and certainly not the .350 hitter he has been in limited time with the Yankees.  He was a pretty consistent .270 hitter with a .700 OPS in 11 minor league seasons and that's about what I would expect.

Anyone that thinks this guy is going to continue to hit like this and get a clutch hit everytime he steps to the plate is just flat out delusional. He makes a very nice depth player and utility infielder. When the magic is gone there will be times where we are screaming to get him out of the lineup.

I think a very good player comp would be Luis Sojo

If you put Urshela and Andujar on the market right now for the same return ... 100% of MLB teams would take the ice cold and injured Andujar over the red hot unconscious Urshela.

They're winning.  You are a bad troll.

Nah cleanup, Jinah's just an idiot.

So, who do you bench to put Urshela, a .225 lifetime hitter, as a starter? (batting eyelashes)

"The most popular guy on the bench is the backup QB". It applies to baseball, too.

The guy is hitting 354. Let me say that again. The guy is hitting 354.

I know of no sport when someone is replaced as a starter because he had not played well in orevious seaons.

Personal I am not much for the strike out, strike out, strike out strike out, strike out strik out, HR tempalte the yankees used last year.

The yankees never "manufactored" runs last year. They do this year, regularly.

Hey John, Jinah likes to stir the doo doo.

Speaking of backup quarterbacks remember when Drew Henson’s backup quarterback at Michigan replaced Pro Bowler Drew Bledsoe and the Patriots stuck with the hot hand?

Hey LL...Do you remember the influence of the Boss had on the quarterback situation at Michigan ? Brady might have been the starter had George, a huge OSU fan, not been so involved.

I have to confess Paterson that I don’t know a great deal about the details of Henson’s career, other than he made some really wise baseball and football professionals look foolish for showing such faith in his ability.

I think Henson still works for the Yankees as a scout. But back then he was a young phenom and George made a big offer for him to play basebal. Story is that he lobbied him and his dad (also a football coach) to insist that he start or he leave for the Yankees. Whether Geoprge did that to see if he could get Henson to leave college for baseball or to hurt the Michigan program, George was a big OSU guy, depends on the writer telling the story. But either way, George touched the careers of football players as well as baseball players.

He still has the hot hand.

You are such a j erk. All you do around here is sling insults. People are talking baseball and you just come in and attack people. To me, you are way worse than Jonah or any othe poster you love to pick on. At least they just talk baseball. If you don't agree with their opinion, then address their point, not insult the person. You also have the option of ignoring. Posters like you makes a forum juvenile and unpleasant to follow.

Thanks stroker. If you had any idea what you were talking about, you would know why I said what I did.  Leave if you want.

From what the announcers say, he has made adjustments to his swing.  It's not like he is on a homer binge, so hopefully he can sustain what he is doing. Hopefully they ride him and let Andujar work on defense(with the coaches) while DHing.

it's not as if andujar isn't getting his ABs. we don't have to do anything until stanton returns, then we'll see where we're at.

fwiw urshela got a hit in a big spot again today. he & lemahieu have been a breath of fresh air having productive at bats and not trying to do too much unlike the "A" team.

They are exactly the type of players they need to add to the "A" team.  Less throwing has to help Andujar heal.
