Anyone recall what the record was with Andujar at 3rd last year ?

in games started at 3B the team was 83-49. they were 6-7 when he dh'd.

Well what do ya know ...who would've thunk it.  A .630 winning percentage with Andujar at 3rd / .461 when he DH

I 've said it before and I will say it again ... Good offensive players win waaay more games than good defensive players

In a perfect world you want guys who can do both. I prefer the guys who hit and I think the game is moving in that direction. Fewer balls are put in play today,....about 15% fewer and that means there are simply fewer chances for a bad fielder to get exposed. .

By using shifting strategies and strategic placement of fielders, I think you can hide a bad glove more easily than a broken bat.

Here's an additional thought. It's just a matter of time when Didi returns....and when that day comes, what will happen to LeMahieu?  He has quickly became a fan favorite with his ability to get on base added to his defensive prowess. I love his professionalism in getting the job done. As much as I like Didi, I would be remissed if LeMahieu gets glued to the bench.

In my humble opinion, the guy is a KEY to The Yankes 2019 success.  He gets on base.  He puts the ball in play.  If I'm managing, he's our new leadoff man unless or until he's injured or hits a wall of epic proportions.  I find a place for him at the top of the lineup; all day, every day.
