This is interesting.  Seems blacks polled are skeptical about busing in 2019.

Many Republicans would love a return to the '50's...preferably the 1850's, but they'd settle for the 1950's as a second choice.

Clearly school choice is the answer.  You should see how diverse my son's Gifted Magnet is, so was the Charter and the Private schools prior to that.

My children attended magnet schools.  During my 30 years of teaching, I taught classes from basics to Advanced Placement in a large suburban school district.  There are pros and cons in separating kids by intelligence and even by interests.  Charter schools have had very mixed performance records.  Some have simply been scams.  What we can't allow to happen is to separate the components of our educational system into the "haves" and the "have nots".

Trump cruising to big Electoral College loss Cool

An election model that accurately predicted Democratic congressional gains last year is forecasting a big loss for President Donald Trump next year.

The election forecast model designed by Rachel Bitecofer, assistant director of the Wason Center for Public Policy at Christopher Newport University, predicts Trump will fall well short of the 270 electoral votes necessary to win re-election, reported the Washington Examiner.

Bitecofer’s model sees Trump losing the Electoral College by a 297-197 total after three key states — Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin — flip back to the Democrats.

“Trump’s 2016 path to the White House was the political equivalent of getting dealt a Royal Flush in poker,” Bitecofer said. “It’s probably not replicable in 2020 with an agitated Democratic electorate.”

An energized Democratic base would most likely drown out a predicted increase in Republican voters in 2020, according to Bitecofer.

Good they said that in 2016! Hillary was going to get over 400 electoral votes. The polls all said a cakewalk for Hillary and historic landslide. Now Trump has a great record to run on while democrats are running to see who can be the most ridiculous. Might be Trump with 400!
