I truly believe the Yanks decided not to participate in trades. Cashman kept saying he was in touch with many, he was lying. The fact is money was the reason.

The truth of the matter is, if George Steinbrenner knew how Hal is handling the team, not spending the needed dough when truly necessary, he'd be turning in his grave!!

Not Cashman's fault the pitcher(s) he traded for can't handle NYC, but then not everyone can. Only pitcher i'd felt comfortable going after would have been MadBum, but Giants are too stupid in thinking they have a shot going against the likes of the Dodgers (their superior division rival) and the Braves. LOL, can't wait to see MadBum leave them hanging out to dry and not getting anything in return.

Gray had a 6.00+ ERA vs. .500 and better teams lifetime before the Yanks traded for him. And that was in Oakland.

Yanks have a very good chance to take this series.

I like the odds and the matchup. But..............you can't predict baseball.

No, but Gray is on some kind of roll right now.

Awful? Cashman has traded for talented starting pitchers. It's not his fault that they couldn't pitch in NYC. That's a hard thing to judge if one of those pitchers didn't have known anxiety problems like ZG. All he can do is go by talent, it's not like he can give them a test before trading for them. The jury is still out on Paxton who's knee isn't 100%.

Cashman also brought in relief pitchers like Robertson and Kahnle who helped the Yankees. And guess what? They traded prospects for them two and increased their payroll.

Cashman said postgame yesterday if he signed Corbin he wouldn't have signed DJ and Ottavino. I'd rather have them then Corbin. Wish they also signed Corbin but Hal has his bidget and this team without DJ is not in this position. He's their MVP.

It's obvious now they need to upgrade so they better be all in on Cole after the season..

Just for Voit, Urshela, Trachman and signing DJ how can anybody knock him. Rather he got a ace but I'm glad he didn't pay a ransom for one.
