No Judgie... I know Boone had said he was going to rest him one of the games this weekend but this is where I don't get Boone. Judge had a good game last night. He finally looks like he's breaking out of the slump and now he's not playing. Boone often rests the hot hitter the day after... this is my only criticism of Boone. I just don't get it....what happened to ride them while they're hot. Baseball players are streaky creatures.

I understand romine catching today but gary can't  DH? No judge either. I know the young guys have done well but you've got no stanton, encarnacion, voit and hicks and now you take judge and sanchez out of the lineup?

I think Boone was waiting for Judge to have a good game offensively before giving him a day off.  It's been the Yankee way since Girardi replaced Torre.  They try so hard not to bench a slumping player.

Wow, resting Judge today makes no sense to me. A Yankee front office special once again. Sit the guy who has the hot hand, or one who is finally looking like he is starting to figure it out when he has been struggling. If you ask me that sure didn't help Greg Bird when they did it to him, did it? Sure didn't help when they had the Joba rules either, did it? Taking anaylitics to this degree is foolish I think. And don't think for a minute that isn't what steers these resting decision's, because it has to be. No baseball manager is this silly. Boone himself would tell you that if he wasn't hancuffed about it.Sealed

you miss 100% of the shots you don't take.

I would be inclined to go with the hot hand but the Yankees clearly aren't.   I guess they don't want a player on the bench stewing over a slump.  Who am I to argue, it seems to work for them more often than not.

As a manager I can't think it sits well with them to have to take a guy who may single handedly win a close game, and bench him after watching him start to climb out of a hole. Let alone the teams best home run hitter. At this point though, I am sure Boone knew what he was getting into when he took the job, so you really can't blame him for what they tell him to do. Doesn't mean he agrees or likes it I suppose. He sure "ACTS" like he does. Oh, wait. lol. Hey, we are winning so like you say, who are we to argue.
