It has started the Rats are jumping ship. According to ESPN's Jeff Passan, Dombrowski is out as President of the Red Sox. I posted in a different thread yesterday that I don't think that 4 out of the 9 starting  position players the Sox have will be there next season. Never figure the head man would leave. The Sox have not confirmed yet if he left or was fired according to the ESPN report. There it goes....Seeeee Yaaaa!!!

Funny how they treat their personnel when they are done with them... Sad really!

And he just came off a championship too. It's really "what have you done for me lately" up there. They don't mess around.

what a bombshell. the year after a world championship! almost like a george steinbrenner type move.

not sure you can blame it all on him. a lot of it was world championship hangover. everything broke their way with many players having career years. clearly a big mistake was not resigning kimbrel or a suitable replacement but that might have been an ownership decision. the starters got off to a terrible start and never really gelled but the offense might still be the best in baseball.

wonder what this means for a player like jd martinez (and others). does he now jump ship. very interesting development.

Unbelievable..  Red Sox finished in first place in the AL East for 3 consecutive seasons, winning the W.S title in 2018.

Something must of occurred that the public is not privy to...

Would Cora be the next to go ??

Like what was said in a prior post, everything Boston did last year turned to Gold, they got every break that could be had, they had players that had career years and when they come back to earth and they have a few injuries they are just a good team like so many others...

I'm sure there will be some shakeups taking place, they have some choices to me made on players that will cost them more money and some players that are going to get more or maybe they'll move on ??? By firing their GM they most think he wasn't up to making those decisions ??

The Sox payroll is way over the luxury tax... see Sale and Evoldi. Their farm is depleted. They're not in a good position to sign their superstar stud Mookie Betts... that may have something to do with it.

Im also not buying into the WS hanover. The Dodvers played just as many games the Sox did last year and they don't appear to be hungover.
