What do you guys think is more important getting the walking wounded ready with at bats and innings pitched or playing the best players to stay ahead of Houston for homefield?

Try to do a little bit of getting them ready ... but homefield against Houston is the most important thing.

Throw them out there on short leashes, kill two birds with one stone.
If Stanton and Severino can perform like they are capable of that is a huge boost.  I don't expect much with Betances or Montgomery because I don't think either have enough time to get their control down reliably.

What do you think if Stanton goes 1-20 after 5 games? I think it's more important to try and get these guys ready then homefield

The Astros are a hard team to beat ... our season series against them is 4-3 ... we really could use homefield ... they have to try to mix getting these guys ready and winning the games ... Boone has his work cut out for him.

Bat him 8th as long as he looks healthy in LF.  Maybin's wrist has killed his swing, Frazier isn't hitting, and I am not sold Wade has turned the corner though his latest stint is encouraging.   Stanton has a very important bat and without Tauchman and Hicks it is needed.

I think you have to see what you have with Severino and Betances, especially Severino and get him as much work as you can. He could be an X factor against a team like Houston in a playoff series.

I think you have to see what you have in Stanton, but if he goes 0 for 15 next week or isn't healthy enough to field, then they should be thinking of winning first. I still think they have enough offensive even without him.

I think they need to bat Stanton high in the order to get him at bats

Let's just count on Stanton stepping up, there is a big gap between dominant and adequate.  A healthy Stanton makes us a matchup problem.

He can have Didi's spot.  No way Gregorius should be batting before Voit now even with the lefty righty stuff.
