Watching the Yankees power hitters hit 450 foot homeruns is nice to see,

but I'd take 9 DJ Lemahieus on the Yankees everyday of the week. What a complete all around MLB player he is. And he does so without being a showoff. He's still only 31 years old, so in my opinion the Yankees should extend his contract beyond next season.

He appears  to be a young 31. If the Yankees  don't  offer  him an extension of 4 or 5 years they're  crazy.

the type of player i thought we needed to add last winter (instead of the higher priced names). hard nosed, contact hitter, old school (including a big chaw). luv the guy. think he likes it here. yup let's extend him til age 36.

while hixie got the big blow, it was DJ's leadoff HR that set the tone and threw verlander off his game.

He’s also one of the few players who stayed off the IL this year.... that in itself is an anomaly.

He's the kind of hitter I have been wishing for.

Yea amazing year. Need more like him.

Wanted Brantley last off season and Murphy who didn't pan out. Wondered where he fit in. He fits in wherever he's needed. Old school hard nosed tough player. Great signing.

DJL is definitely MVP of the team. Incredibly consistency ALL year and through the playoffs. That HR was clutch.

He hit that home run in the most clutch situation.  No bat flip.  No stupid hand up to his ear.  No parrot walking around the bases.  He just jogs around the bases.  I'd sign him and give him whatever he wants.

He's the kind of players teams dream about having on their team, one if not the best FA signing in Yankee history... Plays the game like it should be, hits the ball puts his head down and runs the bases.. He can play anywhere and proved he can play it at Gold Glove ability... Yankees should extend him and keep him in Pinstripes until his career is over...

For sure the MVP of this team many times over... He'll get 2nd or 3rd in the MVP race in the AL as well, but like so often, no one wants to give the Yankees any awards... But we know who's the MVP...Wink
