That is why signing Didi is a No for me

I agree manbot but be careful you will be accused of being one of my many many alias's by the snoop patrol on here. lol..... That is among a major reason for not resigning him. We have to uproot the entire infield. And one of these 4 will have to rotate and sit every day. Luke/Ford, Urschela, Torres or DJ, now who that is a Yankee fan, does that make sense to? All to play a lefthanded .230 hitter with a little pop. SMH

c'mon man, stop with the persecution complex. I didn't think it was your style

OK.

.230 hitter? That's  cherry  picking, he played a limited number  of games last year coming off TJ surgery. Prior  to last year he was a .270 lifetime hitter.

   A little pop is an 8 ounce can of grape soda, a SS who hits 27 home runs is a valuable commodity. The Yankees might have to part with him to make the books balance, but Didi earned every nickel the Yankees paid him,

I think the best way to figure how much value Didi has to the Yankees is whether or not they resign him. Of course assuming he doesn't get a higher offer somewhere else. Doesn't matter how good all of you think he is to the Yankee infield, or how much I, and some others want him not to be signed because of the scrambled egg effect he has on the infield. If he is worth resigning he will be and if not, he won't be. I think the Yankees got this as one of the major decisions they will have to make this off season. Once again looks like Gardner will be the first early decision. That should be an easy one.

If they don't resign Didi it will have more to do with needing to spend the dollars on pitching, than it will have to do with Didi's actual worth to the team ... they have a lot of pieces they can use that are cheaper and they can save money on Didi ... that is why they will not sign him ... but it will have nothing to do with his actual worth ... just that pitching is always worth more than any position player.

DJ playing 1B wouldn't be a waste, because his glove could take away a lot of doubles.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
He also made some very impressive digs and stretches, especially considering his very minimal experience there.
Yep, that he did.
Man I just can't stop laughing at some of the nonsense that people on here dream up. I have been in a room full of pot smoking Hippies  that don't have 1% of the paranoia some of you have about some posters on here. OMG, no way there is more than one person who has my POV on some subjects. Now we are all one person. All who agree with him, it is him, in disguise. They are all...HIM!!!!!!  Jesus. Who knew? Surprised
Look, we are all the same! LaughingLaughingLaughingLaughingLaughingLaughingLaughing… pssst, I just sent you a secret message..ok thanks, you know, I thought so too!! He should be put on double secret probation he doesn't think Didi is good for the team at this point. He talks about it all the time. Next he may want Sanchez gone also, what do we do?
What if someone else agrees with him. And then others. It will be horrible. It will be like...a, gulp, democracy, freedom, where others don't have to be like us and agree with us, ohh...the humanity.
Gimme a break. How about you all take a friggen reality check. Good grief. Who are you people? Too funny.
We've had people do these things on this board many times ... so it's just normal for us to be suspicious when a "SecretAgent" pops up and agrees with you on everything.
Mo c'mon. I  barely knew how to register myself for this board and find my way back here, let alone do it as many times as I am accused of. Is it that hard to believe some posters agree with my POV on some topics? I was happy to see that guy or woman show up to know I do have a like minded poster around at times. I have no idea where he came from never saw him before.
And Newinn, I was just playin around with a few posters that were being paranoid about me again, saying that I am more than one poster, I am now using 3 or 4 different aliases according to these poor misguided individuals. SO I was sort of hamming it up acting out their parts as a satire. Just trying to be funny. haha, ya know funny. It is getting boring around here sometimes.
The writing is quite similar ... that was indeed why it was questioned ... not just because he agreed with you ... and you and jpep could be twins ... so we are not out of our minds in thinking you returned with a new name.
I noticed and I agree. However just as I said many times there are some people who write like they talk. I found many of those people are from the east, and are left handed, at least the ones I know. SO people who talk the same way, fast, and loud, and are passionate about certain subjects and write the same way usually make good writers also, as in authors. I never tried it, but have been tempted.
Many are in the arts, and even the Movies. My Brother is just the opposite of me in many ways, but his son, my nephew, is an actor in TV and the movies. He has been since he was about 20 or so. Now he is a great bad guy. Always plays the mob guy or the bad guy.  Imagine that. He started out writing comic books of all things and is an excellent artist. He morphed into acting. His brother played for the Rays in their early years in the minors made it to AA and then just gave up and got a job doing some of their PR work. He was on their billboard in upstate NY in their A ball town, I forget the name of it.  Anyway I was to lazy to do any of it and now to old, but someday I may try writing a book if I can find a ghost writer. Sorry to disappoint you but I am who I am. Just one guy and you should be thankful there is only one of me. My friends and family are.Undecided
Was it Utica? They had a NY/Penn league team until peckerhead Ripken bought it and moved it to Maryland.
 Its where the class A is for the Rays.  Yes it is in the New York/Penn league in Fishkill New York.  Dutchess county stadium.  When he was there they were the Devil Rays. The team is called the Hudson Valley Renegades. He got married and had a kid and well.. he had to get to work. They offered him a job and he took it. Did it for a while and then opened up a Sports Memorabila shop against my advice. And I agree with you this board can use some more humor for sure!
Oh, that's more downstate.  I'm up by Syracuse/Utica.
I think someone will offer Didi 3 or 4 years and hope he returns to 2017-18 production. The Yankees will move on to the Gleybar era, losing a lefty bat and some defense.
I think it's probably the smart bet if they need the money elsewhere, like pitching. Thanks to Didi for his tenure, and best of luck at his new team.
Didi may get a 1 yr/10M "prove it" contract from a team, including the Yanks, to show he'll OK after Tommy John.
