...hell back to Moose Skowron he looked like his nickname, a Moose...

Bill "Moose" Skowron was 5'11" / 195; smaller than Andujar.

He was given the nickname "Moose" as a kid; his family said he looked like Mussolini.

As slick as DJ is he looked really awkward sometimes because of Didi's and Torres throws.

If anything, DJL looked best stretching and digging out "bad" throws.

I don't think Voit or Ford as proven anything yet. Voit had a couple good months, and Ford is very unproven. Neither is particularly good fielder, and neither is close to the hitter Andujar is. And I don't assume Andujar can handle first, but it's worth trying to get him time this offseason.

The core of virtually everyone of chl's posts is about keeping Voit and Ford at 1st base. I don't get it. You would think they are Lou Gehrig and Donnie Baseball.

I think there was a whole thread defoted to Andujar that I stayed out of because I just don't know what they are going to do with him. I don't have a clue to be honest. He just doesn't seem like a firest baseman.

And Bobby, don't forget back in the day Moose was considered a big guy. If I remember correctly he also played football as well before switching to baseball, but not sure on that. I laughed like hell when I read what you said about who he looked like. What a thing to say about your kid. lol.

New, you have to be the most confused person I know at times. What are you confused about now, that you shook your head at? You must have a stiff neck by now. LOL... Andujar can't play first base. They won't even try I don't think.. I can't see it. That's all they have to do is mess him up even more with completely different moves you need to make at first over 3rd. C'mon man. The only thing those two positions have in common is the speed and instincts at which they have to be played. Other than that, two different bags my man, played two different ways IMO.

you miss 100% of the shots you don't take.

New it's not me demanding they play there, that is why they are on the Yankees man, the only reason. They are not going to take them out of their position for Miggy Andujar. I know what they are ,but if Didi is gone then they are on the bag, why is that so hard for you to believe? Your beating the drum more about me talking about them then I am about them being there.

See, every Yankee has a position in the yearbook. They are listed only as first basemen. If they are not then they won't be here. You see them both going because they want to train a guy who is really deficient at defense at his regular position, but they will teach him how to play first base in ST, then announce Luke and Ford are traded or sent to the minors and he has their jobs? wow. God bless your train of thought.

The only guys on those Yankee teams "smaller" than Skowron were Richardson & Yogi.

you post everything with such an authoritative tone and I don't consider you to be much of an authority. I really have tried but I find both your OPINIONS and your tone far too obnoxious to try and exchange thoughts with you. Post away chl but I'm done with you

don't confuse his delusion with facts. Moose was solid at first but he wasn't a ballerina out there either
