Cashman is saying that teams have been calling about Andujar.........I have mixed feelings on him, but would have to bend towards part of a trade for a # 1 or 2 SP...........package him with someone maybe?........if he stays, I have no problem with that either......

Package him with Clint Frazier and/or Luke Voit while they still have value.

IMO, there are a few position players I would put on an off limit list.

Judge, Torres, Andujar, LeMaheiu

I would be willing to talk about every other position player.

Andujar is not going anywhere, not yet, not if he still hits like he has been IMO.  Cashman as much as said so. Finding a position for him, that's the problem. One that he can actually play well enough to put him at.

Good young hitters don't grow on trees, if he's completely healed from his surgery I can't see why he can't hit as good as he once did ???

To me I think Andujar can become another Manny Rameriz as far as hitting goes and I really don't want to see Andujar go anywhere in a trade. From what I remember of Manny he wasn't exactly Willie Mays in the outfield, and had some real nutty antics which got chalked up to the famous, "Manny being Manny" lines.

Outside of the steroid issue, Manny was a pure hitter and that's how I view Andujar. Maybe left field is the spot for him, and Tauchman goes to center until Hicks comes back. I mean, so far Gardner isn't signed yet, and if he is then Tauchman becomes the 4th outfielder and they all do what the Yankees seems to love and play the guy who matches up the best with the day's opposing pitcher.

miggy has electricity in his bat. the ball leaps off it. there's plenty of power but more a slasher type. first player that came to mind to me was vlad guerrero in his ability to get to any pitch and still hit it hard. also reminds of an alfonso soriano who strikes out less. in any case, they've got to find a place for him. and with the glut at 1B, agree LF might be the best spot for him. gonna be a very interesting spring training.

Vlad was the most perplexing hitter in baseball I can remember. He once hit a ball that bounced in front of the plate and went into the strike zone. I don't remember if it was a hit or not, or what the call was when he did it, craziest thing I ever saw. I agree about where Andujar would best fit and that is left field. Stanton, Miggy and Tauchman three players for LF and DH a 2 position switch has happened before with three guys. Add center field for Tauchman if Gardner is signed so it is definately doable even when Hicks comes back because Stanton will need some IL time no doubt if things stay as they have with him.. I look forward to ST as well. I don't think there will be quite as many invitee's as in the past though. Cashman and the Yankees already have 10 lbs they are trying to fit into a 5 lb bag.Laughing
