I have a hard time believing Red Sox upper management did not know about the cheating. To pull off an operation like that, it would need to involve a lot personnel and I highly doubt so many people can keep the secret from leaking out to GM’s, VP‘s, etc.

They basically figured that if they fired Cora, they will look like they didn’t know about it. I don’t buy it.

I wonder if Red Sox is trying to avoid additional penalties like losing future drafts by being ahead of the game. The hand writing was on the wall as it relates to Astros. Hoping Manfred would be satisfy with Cora being fired.

Unbelieveably Cora has the nerve to espouse his accomplishment on his way out.  It seems he believes winning WS by cheating is honorable .... "It was an honor to manage these teams and help bring a World Series Championship back to Boston."  Commented that he helped Red Sox win a W.S in 2018 –  piling 108 regular-season wins before pummelling the Yankees, Astros and Dodgers in the playoffs.

Does the man have any shame?????

Deny the truth...it's what our leaders have been teaching for decades now..."I did not have sex with that woman"...so why should ballplayers be any different. What's really sad is thinking that these cheaters are the role models for today's kids to help mold them as the leaders of tomorrow. It's pathetic.
