after hitting the walk-off against chapman in this season's alcs, as he's rounding 3rd, altuve's screaming "don't rip off my jersey". michael kay has espoused the theory that there was possibly some electronic device under there. he sure was all over that slider like he knew it was coming. here's video ...

As I said yesterday, it was fairly obvious he was sitting on that slider.

yup he was 100% in on it. if you look at chappy's expression, he was pretty shocked.

Chapman was definitely stunned, and he took a lot of grief for that "smile".

But I've always felt it was because he suspected Altuve was sitting on that pitch...whether he was guessing or had some "help".

That it was. Even easier if he knew it was coming.

We'll never know about this one.  If he guessed right, the pitch was one that should have been hammered.  If he had help, it would have been that much more easy to hammer.  Either way, Chappy threw a bad pitch.

I don't know. The evidence is out for 2017, but I feel like this one is a bit of a stretch, lol.

Maybe he wanted to give the jersey to a family member or he wanted to save it. It was a HUGE clutch moment in his career. I genuinely don't think there was a mesh of wires and electronics under his jersey, lmao. Besides, wouldn't the players know not to rip his jersey off if they were all in on the 'scheme' anyway?

Altuve was an established great before the scandal took place anyway. I really don't think he needs help hitting a hanging slider up in the zone.

Some theories are less founded than others, but it's only justice that everything they've accomplished from 2017 - the present is going to be tainted. This is justice in a way, so **** 'em.
