Another "minor issue" that turned into A catastrophe for a Yankee injury. Once again something the Yankees said was just a precautionary measure turns into losing a guy for a season once again. Man, I don't know where the Yankees got their medical staff from, but all this goes back to the guys that are no longer here. From the trainer on down and like I said when Gino left so did the competence on the medical staff it seems to me. Cole and Monty will be huge now and I am sure we will try a few different guys until Paxton is ready to go. Bad break but it shouldn't derail our goal of a Championship. We won over 100 games last year without Sevy plus there is always a chance German will be here at some point.

you miss 100% of the shots you don't take.

Athlete seasons are like dog years.  No reason to think Sevy will ever reach his potential in pinstripes now.

I really don't understand why these things aren't discovered during the off-season.

It was.  Try to keep up.  He first complained of pain in the ALCS last year.  Initial tests over the winter showed no structural damage.  As late as Sunday they were saying the UCL was intact.

I gotta think the Hicks and Severino injuries will make the Yankees hesitant to extend Judge given his injury history.
