Rush Limbaugh, The Voice of the Republican Party on Hate Radio, says what is happening with the virus in Italy is a Chinese commie conspiracy.  The right wing has gone off the deep end in trying to cover for The Orange Menace...echoing Trump's own lies, new conspiracy theories and publishing clouds of misinformation fog.

Please stop pretending to be a reliable source of information...

I do this stuff every day.  I'm definitely a more reliable source of information than MS-NBC.

You are a fraud...that's been obvious since you started spouting misinformation about the virus.

Please post one piece of misinformation that I have spread.

Other posters and I did that earlier...as soon as you started posting about it.  Simply denying that fact underscores that you're a fraud.  Trying to Magic Slate what has been posted is no defense.

What we know about COVID-19 so far is that was indeed man made and man spread.  Now, claiming that it's a conspiracy is way over the edge.  It's more likely that China tried to cover it up and didn't want to take the blame, which is likely the reasoning why the information made it to the WHO really late.  I'd need to see a lot of evidence before I'd call it an intentional act.

There was not one piece of misinformation that I posted.  You can't find one because there isn't one.  My information comes straight from the CDC and the DOH response plans for my organization and others throughout the state.

Did you delete your earlier posts that downplayed the threat of the spread of the virus, low-balled the mortality rate, ranked it as a mole hill instead of a mountain, and predicted early containment/dissipation?  Do everybody a favor and just shut up before somebody is foolish enough to take you at your word.

The threat of the virus IS low.  It has remained low and always was low.  I don't need to defend that.  EVERY group that studies these outbreaks says so, including the NYS DOH and Governor Andy.

The mortality rate IS lower than the first numbers that have come out.  That has happened with every outbreak since we started studying them.  The reason for this is that tons of undiagnosed cases that have already recovered were not counted because we had no idea what illness the infected had.  That's simple science.

It is still a mole hill rather than a mountain.  Just because the outbreak is in our area, the outbreak is still minute compared to others that we've faced in this century.

Early containment and dissipation may have been incorrect due to information that was available at the time not being reliable.  However, that's what we were told when the first information came out.  That's not my information; I didn't make it up.  Now that we know more of what actually happened in China, early containment is highly unlikely.  The good news is that numbers in the earlier infected areas are trending downward already so early dissipation is still a likely occurrence.  The climate and early spring weather in New York will also help.  We will definitely see an end to the outbreak within a few weeks to a month but we need to remain vigilent and account for the fact that the virus may make it through to the fall.

You're a fool if you think we're going to consider anything you post about this without first going to the sources that are reliable.  Anything that has to be filtered through the Trump Administration and the White House cannot be trusted...not early on and not now.  Independent agencies and scientists will be our only hope of getting the straight story.
