The flu is much more widespread and has proved to be more dangerous. Give a virus a scary name and the people go crazy.

Now to keep it Yankee centric, enjoy the following photos.

You don't know what you are talking about ... coronavirus is 10 times more lethal than the flu ... they testified before Congress about that the other day.

That's why I wrote the follow up post to explain my comments came from the CDC earlier in the week.

Because of the danger this flu presents they will most likely cancel the rest of the ST games and also delay the start of the season. It has to be done for obvious reasons. If it just delays the start of the season and they start late April or around the first week in May it would help get Stanton and Judge back on the field. Unfortunately realizing that himslef, it won't bring Frazier in from the ledge he is on now.

you miss 100% of the shots you don't take.

Hopefully, for many reasons, just a delayed start...like the '95 season.

Based on how things have been snowballing with coronavirus, I think we may be looking at a delayed start on the order of months, not weeks. And even that might be optimistic. As we have seen, all it takes is one sick player to shut down an entire team, and therefore the league as a whole. I really hope I'm wrong, both for baseball reasons and for the health of our country.

I'm sorry the public is falling for it. No worries once a person learns the truth about this world, and how to self-medicate. PLAY BALL!

You're right - self-medication appears to be working just fine for many. The death rate is very low in healthy folks and people under age 60. But the stats available so far have shown ~10-15% death rates for people over 70. But sure, let's "PLAY BALL", eh?

Seems you've "self-medicated" a few times too many.

With no sports on the horizon, what will WFAN or Michael Kay talk about each day to fill time?
