The worst pandemic in 100 years. A collapsing economy. A congress that is still playing politics and the absolutely worst President in my 70 year lifetime. It's hard to keep faith that we will come out of this and that coming from an optimist

I never would have believed that in my lifetime we might see the demise of American society.  But that is exactly what is staring us in the face.  We now have a significant portion of citizens who've developed an immunity to facts, who have placed party before country, who have armed themselves to the teeth (and continue to buy guns & ammo) and who blindly follow so-called "representatives" who no longer represent them but rather powerful, monied individuals and corporations who will keep them in their seats.

yep and I should have added that to my post. We have laymen (regular working class folks) that believe they know more then scientists who study the climate, and those same folks believeing they know more then the medical community. I don't remember every topic involving politics. Nothing can be discussed without it coming from a political bias. It's sad and I don't know if we can ever come together.

Wasn't it Kruschev that said the Soviet Union will destroy us from within? I'm just feeling a bit down today

Fortunately, I have my property to work on to keep my mind off this mess for a number of hours each day.  I have family close by and government-run VA healthcare that continues to monitor my general health in spite of the pandemic.  I am not sick and my Social Security and pension incomes are coming in and will continue to come in.  So, I feel lucky at this point that I am also able to help out with my grandkids, whose daycare had to close due to the virus crisis.  I know full well that too many Americans are not and will not be as fortunate and my heart goes out to them.  It is difficult to maintain a positive attitude when facing the fact that our country is being badly damaged...poltically, economically, and spiritually.

And there are scientists who disagree with the climate cult, yet you're so invested in believing in the climate hoax that you won't even entertain the possibility that you've been fooled.   Your pride prevents it.

Explain how in 2020 any solution that doesn't tackle China and India makes any sense?   Explain why we should not be using next gen nuclear power over wind and solar?   Why money shouldn't go in to carbon capture tech instead of killing jobs and trying to retrofit at a massive cost?

You're not seeing that the climate scientists are paid to say what they do, they've made one wrong doomsday prediction after another back to the 1980s, and they are a front for the people invested in wind and solar and the carbon credit market.   Wake up.

Like I said, it's too much for your pride to bear to admit when you're wrong.
