This guy can't get a break. If the season started he had another make or break shot. Now with the long delay and players getting healthy he might be odd man out again. I really feel for the kid. I think he can be a very good LF for the next 10plus years.

No question he can hit. His defense, obviously, needs work.

Well, if and when we play again this season, I'm sure he will get another shot at LF . Does anyone think Stanton will last more than a few weeks before he goes on the IL again? I do feel a little bad for Gardner as well because with Stanton, Judge, Tauchman, Andujar and most likely Hicks retirning, Frazier isn't the only one who may be the odd man out. This is for sure Gardners last year I would imagine. What a way to have to retire if it comes to that for him.

you miss 100% of the shots you don't take.

I don't have any confidence that Hicks can stay on the field either

This is true. So far that is Hicks' M O also. I think eventually, the way Andujar has looked in left, he just may take that job anyway and Stanton just DH. I really was looking forward to this season seeing how Tauchman, Andujar, Voit and Frazier looked when they played enough and if they could stay healthy long enough to rack up a good enough sample size to see just who they are finally. Seems like we already see what to expect from Stanton and Hicks. Right now I just plain miss baseball of any kind and I don't care who is playing where. I'm glad most of us seem to be staying safe at least so that's good.

for some reason Hicks is a player I was never crazy about.

I'm glad that it seems as if most of the regular posters haven't been hit with this virus. I miss baseball and golf something awful. Couple of weeks ago we cancelled a trip with 16 huys to Ocean City Md. Would have been leaving Monday for a week

Agree, not much of a Hicks fan either but he does have his moments. Yes, so far I think most of the posters here have been very good at staying healthy so far. I hear you about having to cancel the fun you had planned for your golf outing. That's rough. I live just steps from the beach and it's closed. The becahes in Florida are closed. Whaaat? All because the selfish, entitled, spolied brat spring breakers last month didn't listen to the social distancing rule and ticked off everyone including the Governor. It reminds me of the Movie My Cousin Vinny. "The whole store has the flu. I went to buy a suit and the store is closed because of the flu, which is why I am wearing this ridiculous thing."LaughingLaughingLaughing

I guess I'm missing something. What's up with Frazier besides bad luck?

Hope I'm wrong in my thinking but I feel Hicks is injury prone and streaky. Not worth the long term investment. Gardy retires. Andujar will be a key piece if trade needed for big name pitcher. I'm not sold on Tauchman and think he might hang around for a few years but won't be more than average. Stanton needs to stay healthy and contribute.

Everything works itself out. I was just hoping Frazier was healthy and had his head on straight this year and came out strong and won the job.

The Yanks need to keep quality backups around because the regulars are also regulars at the IL inn!
