Has anyone noticed that China is using the coronavirus to crack down on Hong Kong trampling over the treaty that placed it under their dominion?

Why don't you tell me?

I guess he is the modern Pinochet without the executions and imprisonments.  Every time you point out how a leftiest "people's" government is brutal it is what about...

You don't know?

You don't follow events in Brazil as closely as you do its neighbor Venezuela? You don't follow its right-wing leader who you admire and adore as much as you do The Donald? I'm surprised.

I don't have family in Brazil.  You keep bringing up Bolsonaro and have yet to point out how he is as bad as Maduro.  Bert brought up Ortega when I asked for an example of a good leftist leader in South America, it wasn't hard to find articles that discredited that.

Never said anything positive about either Maduro or Ortega...or Castro for that matter.

You don't seem to mind authoritarians...as long as they're righties.

Well see I don't agree with or support oppressive governments.  If policies are collectivist in nature I find that oppressive on those that are forced to participate.  For me it's about the natural rights; life, liberty, and property.  Your rights end where another's begin.  Authoritarians don't respect such things and I object to that, even if they are doing it to a lefty I also don't agree with.

I think you'd prefer an authoritarian government, as long as the agenda is the same as yours.

It's you who wants everyone else to bend and conform to how you naively believe society should function. It's you who wants to impose your morality on others. It's you who wants to impose your economic views on others.

It's you and those who "think" like you who are the authoritarians.

Do you think?  Under my views there is nothing preventing people from living collectively.  I even voluntarily angage in collective exchanges of my choosing, the operative part of that is my choosing.  I don't want to impose upon others and if they want to impose upon me that is a bridge too far.
