Details are still sketchy regarding the events that led to the police call regarding "an attempted forgery in progress" in Minneapolis that led to the death of George Floyd.  Video released does not seem to corroborate statements by police officials that Floyd was resisting arrest, although he is seen talking to the arresting officers in an animated fashion as they led him to a police vehicle.  Why that officer would have continued to keep his knee on Floyd's neck in that manner after Floyd complained repeatedly about not being able to breathe and the crowd joined in making appeals for the officer to relent is beyond me...especially in light of what happened in similar circumstances to Eric Garner in NYC not so long ago.  The video is extremely disturbing...

This video is extremely hard to watch, if this isn't a murder in the first degree I don't know what is.. Another thing, I see several white people, just average citizens standing arounf and watching, if I was standing there I don't care what the situation was I would have shoved that cop off of the mans kneck, even if I got arrested, what is wrong with people, do they look at black people as animals or what ??? I've never treated one of my farm animals that bad, it would be like putting one of my cows in a headgate/shute and once they were restrained, start beating on them on until they fell dead ?? I've never been for public execution, but this is a case for it... I know not all cops are bad, but however many cops were at this killing, they're all bad....

I haven't watched it either- I can't.  I also can't understand how someone didn't intervene.

No excuse to keep your knee on a mans neck for as long as he did. The Officers who were they should have stopped it way before it got to that point. I don't know what happened before, if he resisted or not. It was reported he did but without video these Officers lose the benefit of the doubt. Even if he did no excuse.

Yeah, cops have a tough gig but from what I saw in that vid excessive force was used. Once the dude was immobilized there was no need to lean on his neck.

Id bet the DA is considering murder or manslaughter charges.

No excuse for what he did. I would like to know what his record is , if he had excessive force complaints before. FBI is looking into civil right violations. I would think criminally negligent homicide would be one.

He was so casual about it. Hands in his pocket. knee on his neck as the man went unconscious. .He just made every Police Officers job harder by his actions. The cop who shot the unarmed man who fled in SC pled guilty to violating his civil rights and was sentenced to 20 years. IMO that was light.

The cop who did this, who actually had a smirk on his face during most of the incident, should be held accountable and pay whatever price is appropriate. Same with the other 3.

That said...as far as intervening, hindsight is 20/20. It sounded as if there were onlookers who were imploring the cop to take his knee off of the guy's neck. It would've been very unwise and extremely dangerous for a civilian to have intervened and physically try to stop the arresting cop. Any civilian who would've jumped in would've been subdued, arrested and charged with interfering and possibly assault on a police officer...at least. Or he could've been shot dead.

What else would one another from a white supremacist like Tucker?

Tucker Carlson Calls Protests Against Police Violence ‘A Form Of Tyranny’

The Fox News host seemed fine with protests featuring armed right-wingers rallying against coronavirus lockdowns.

My advice when dealing with the police is just follow their instructions and if there is some wrong-doing on their part file is to file a complaint/lawsuit later.

Unwise or not, it might have saved a life ?? If I was standing there I would have taken the risk, I know it would have gotten me in some trouble, but lawyers and rights of life could have gotten me out of trouble, but by doing nothing sure didn't help that black man !!!
