I agree with you.

Thanks.

It will take real change to make the whole civil rights movement go away.  And that will take protests, a national dialogue and unified action...you know, like is happening now.  I have little sympathy for those who don't have the endurance for it.  Just think of what minorities have had to suffer for centuries...

I don't have sympathy for those that see everyting in life through a political prism. I have no tolerance for the daily violence that is going on in our country whether it is coming from white supremists or people destroying property in the name of equality and justice via destructive protests. God bless the peaceful protesters and the vast majority of good law enforcement officials that are paying the price for the small percentage of bad law enforcement.

I hated it when Tebow was kneeling on a football field in God's name and I don't like entertainment like ball players feeling the need to express political views while at work.

I was at an AZFL game in which Tebow was playing. There was a crowd of at least a few hundred people there to cheer him on. I asked if they were Mets fans; many were clueless about the team and the game itself. They were "evangelicals"...just there to shower Tebow with adoration. The kid currently on the Mets, Brandon Nimmo, has much of the same following.

Escaping politics is very hard to do these days... Our country is ingolfed in political rage... Unless you/we live in a bubble it's hard to avoid... It's the times we live in today, cable news outlets fill the airways almost 24/7 and until we have a change in our political makeup it's going to continue for a long time.. It honestly seems like our political agenda is to fight between paries/leaders is this game, they seem to care less about our Country and the People that live in it, it's all about money and power... Until that changes I see this as the way this country will continue to be...

well, that's too bad. Not what I expected our golden years to be like and frankly I'm tired of it everywhere I look

I'm not happy the way my golden years are right now either !! This whole world is tipped upside down and I blame one man and that's donald trump and our politicans... Some more than other, but they're all too blame in some way... donald in my mind has destroyed my Golden years, I just hope and pray I don't die before I can use some of them without fighting for my life ??

There is always some on the fringe who will promote or carry out violence...either to feed their personal disease or to gain political advantage.   Sad, but true.  We're gonna have to work around that and keep our eyes on the goal.  We should have learned from what happened in the 60's, but it's a new century and too many have forgotten history's lessons.

There is nothing wrong with people taking stands while at work, at play, on social media or at organized protests.  The more people speaking out by word or by gesture the better.  The t-shirt industry should be able to declare a dividend as well.  It will help to bring about more quickly what has to happen in this country.
