Five players hitting under .200 and Gardner hitting third??? Tanaka better pitch a shutout, and even that not be good enough.

apparently gleyber's day off was planned. of course as a fan, i wanna see him in there. i'm sure he wants to be in there. just like with DJ they're erring on the side of caution. yeah gardy 3rd? but looking at that lineup. what are the options. other than bumping frazier up a notch. none ... we need masa to step up.

Hello Brian? Yes, this is Brian. This is Hal. Look Stanton and Judge are hurt and we have even more guys that are on and off the IL. Call a meeting tell the guys that are playing not to get hurt, don't go all out, and rest as many as possible to keep them healthy and we will go in fresh next year, get Mr. Boone on the phone and tell him we are mailing it in. Next year we will go get 'em at least we will be healthy and rested. OK Hal will do. Aye aye sir. Just as a reminder the Red Sox did that during ST last year or the year before when they rested all their starting pitchers and they came in fresh and couldn't pitch. But whatever you want. Well we are the Yankees and that won't happen. Just do it. You got it Boss.
you miss 100% of the shots you don't take.

I don't get it unless he was sore after playing yesterday

I'm gonna give Boone the benefit of teh doubt for now since I suspect some of the moves he makes are dictated from above, especially the need to rest guys frequently.
But at least the injuries have forced their hand into givng Andujar an extended look.

don't disagree but I wish he was getting that look at a position other then 3rd base. I can never see that infield with him at third and Gleyber at short.
