I agree Judge is the face of the Franchise (by Default) but I dont think that he has done a good job of it and I dont think he is a leader.

He is an incredible physical presence with incrdible power and that intrigues people but he just hasnt stepped up as a leader or an intimidator ... he seems shy and would rather have someone else lead.

He should've spoken up when Tampa was threating the Yankees with the stable of 98 BS

Your example of Judge lacking leadership IMO, is a bad example. Chapman was wrong in throwing at the kids head and I'm sure the Yankees were trying to deescalate the situation, not throw oil on the fire.

And how'd that work out for us??

By the wasy Tampa was throwing at our heads the entire series especially in the last game

Yep, your right. If Judge would have pounded his chest and talked about smacking around some of the Tampa Bay pitchers we'd be in the world series right now. Makes sense.

Yeah well putting your tail betwen your legs and taking the abuse isnt exactly a competitive approach. I cant think of any examples where that worked.

Pounding their chest however

  • Worked for Tampa
  • Worked for Boston
  • Worked for Houston

Top five issues facing the Yankees in the offseason:

5. Lack of quality depth in starting pitching, evidenced by the fact they have to throw Garcia/Happ in a critical playoff game.

4. Inability to keep key players healthy.

3. Shabby defense and a lack of timely hitting.

2. An inconsistent bullpen that didn't get it done in crucial situations.

And ladies and gentlemen #1.

Aaron Judge wasn't vocal enough when the other team wouldn't play nice.

Aaron Judge was the first man in to "escort" Joe Kelly off the field after the infamous Tyler Austin mound-charge.

He dragged him away like a little child and pushed half of the Red Sox team backwards in the process, and practically ripped off Kelly's jersey.   Seeing him, Giancarlo and CC leap in to action together was amazing, and Judge was the leader:

That was the day I became a Tyler Austin fan. To bad he didn't work out as a Yankee. Thanks for posting that been awhile since I saw it again.

Joe Kelly redeemed himself making a crybaby face at Correa!
