Less true injuries and more overcaution in a short season?

It's no secert I can't stand Stanton and want him gone. I don't even count him as a starting player. I look at him as strikeout for a few days and then go on IL.

I read that article and it is absolutely ridiculous that they could be serious they believe the words that were coming out of their mouths. Keeping Torres Stanton and Judge out of the line up so they can rehabilitate themselves while resting and then playing in a line up that the rest of the guys are breaking their chops to try and win 5th seed and over come Toronto for that spot. The Yankees have made some questionable moves over the years but this one takes first place in the stupidity department.

you miss 100% of the shots you don't take.

If you feel this was about Stanton, you must really hate lazy Sanchez.

Sanchez is so hard to figure out. I am a fan but honestly might be time to move on.

Yankees are lucky they have so much depth and their depth is starting to come around like they did last year... We know we can count on Judge/Stanton/Sanchez for their normal amount of strikeouts, but again like last year DJL, Voit, Urshele, and now Frazier are carrying this team, and if healthy Torres is chipping in again... But now our pitching is starting to come together, we have our BP as healthy as it can be and we're playing as a team...

Stanton is always hurt and now he probably will be rested every other day, no good in the postseason. I heard Michael Kay said there will be no days off. How long do you think Stanton would last? We need Judge and Gleybel, but I do not miss Stanton one bit

Get used to him, he's going to be here for 8 more years.

Boone's plan is to play Stanton one game, rest one, play two, rest one, play three rest one buliding him up, not every other day. Same goes for Judge. You can't expect them to come of the IL and play every day.

Only 7, Mo. The 2028 season is a team option, which I am sure they will not exercise.

In fact, the Marlins are paying $10m per for the 2026-2028 seasons. I believe if the Yanks released him anytime after the '25 season, they would still get that money. So possibly, they could decide to release him in 2026/27, then eat the difference in money. Similar to what they did with Arod.
