Does anyone know if German will be able to pitch in the playoffs ?? Earlier I read that he would be eligible for postseason play ?? I don't know if he's been working out on his own or he's working with some Yankee coach or what ??

Who cares. Spend next year in the minors and earn a position and respect back.

Really wouldn't trust putting in German in any post season games.

Make him earn his way back onto the team in ST 2021.

I always thought that German was out for the remainder of this season....but you're right:

www.pinstripealley.com/2020/9/18/2144499...

"Germán is actually eligible to return as soon as the postseason starts, he won’t have to sit out any games if the Yankees opt to activate him. Since he sat out last year’s postseason without officially being on suspension yet, Rob Manfred decided that Germán would be able to play should he get the opportunity. His suspension also doesn’t have any overlap into next season, his suspension is considered served in full for having to sit out the entire regular season."

I'd be surprised if they add him to the roster since he hasn't pitched at all.

For those of you who seem to want German to pitch in the playoffs, how would you feel if he took Garcia's spot? Yeah, I thought so. Stop it.Wink

why even bring up such ridiculousness. haven't seen anyone (other than you) suggest such a thing. in fact most said they'd rather see him earn a spot next spring. even in the long chance that he pitches, he'll work out of the pen. a guy who hasn't pitched in over a year is gonna take garcia's spot?!? where do you get this stuff.

Are you drinking already? Do you get sarcasm? Do you understand English? What I wrote means if anyone wants German how would they feel if it bumped Garcia? Stop looking for double meanings where there are none. Calm down. I didn't say he would I indicated how would anyone feel ig he came in and Garcia gets bumped, or any pitcher we have. Don't make a mountain out of a mole hill. That is not what that post means at all. It is meant to be sarcastic as to who would want him to bump anyone really?

Happ, Garcia or Montgomery for the 3rd spot in the rotation for the playoffs. Will be an interesting decision for the Yankees.

You got a feeling for who you prefer? I hate to pick a rookie but right now he has the goods over the other two although his last outing was good it wasn't like the one prior. I just like the kids poise out there and he doesn't get rattled with men on base and that is a big problem for some of our pitchers IMO.
