Happ, Garcia, Montgomery.

Going to be a tough decision. Anxious to see what direction the Yanks go

Would have to be Garcia if the season ended today, and if not for Tanaka's post-season history Deivi might be the #2.

I'd take Happ #4 because he's been solid of late but I could see choosing Monty too.

hmmm ... unless the wheels fall off garcia. i think he's won it. the worry of course would be him handling post-season pressure. the kid seems to have amazing poise for someone so young. on one of the broadcasts, someone suggested (or at least asked the question) pitching garcia in game 2 and saving tanaka for game 3 if necessary. i never like saving a pitcher. beat them when you can.

while i like and think they'd go with garcia, just based on his experience and if he keeps pitching well, guess they could decide to go with happ. but there is precedence for rookie pitchers to perform well. the angels won w lackey, krod & donnelly playing important roles. think krod had only a handful of games under his belt.

apparently there are no off days this post-season, so you can't get away with a shortened rotation like we did 2009. so it looks like all 5 are starting unless someone (cole?) pitches on short rest.

I think I would go with Happ but I could be convinced it should be Garcia. I guess my concern is that Garcia has had 3/4 MLB starts but perhaps that could be an advantage also. Sure wish Paxton was healthy

Pitching Garcia in game 2 might not be a bad idea either

For the 3 game series, I believe Tanaka and Garcia will pitch Games 2-3. The Game 1 outcome will probably determine who pitches Game 2.

I don't see Happ or Monty pitching in the first series, unless in some long relief role..

After this weekend series in Bahston Happ may have secured #3 over Garcia. There's something to be said for experience.

Boone is starting to line up his pitching for the playoffs, one thing we know is Cole will start game one and Tanaka will start game two... Both Happ and Garcia will get one more start, I guess we'll see after those starts which one follows their last performance ?? Garcia had a little hiccup in Boston but that can happen, Happ has been great his last 4-5 starts, in fact, he's got the lowest era on the team since then... I'm an old school kind of guy, I believe Happ being a seasoned vet should get the start but like I said the next starts by each should be a telling story ??
